Lily Olivia is all hot and bothered this week as the featured kitty for our Caturday Art Blog Hop submission. Unlike some of my other creations, Lily Olivia remains quite recognizable. I started with my usual photo editing program, Picasa. I added the Heat Map filter followed by the Posterize filter. After that, I uploaded the photo to PhotoFunia and added the Flares effect. This removed some of the brightness from the photo so I took it back into Picasa and increased the amount of Shadow and then added the Drop Shadow frame.
I think the overall result is a little “muddy,” but I am not sure I could improve on it with any additional tinkering.
Unfortunately the editing did not disguise the fact that Lily Olivia is wearing her usual grumpy look. Maybe when she sees that she is being featured again, I can tease a little smile out of her.
After creating this I was unable to put my paws on the original photo. If you are a regular visitor to the blog, you know what Lily Olivia looks like. If you are new to our blog, you can meet all the current and previous kitties by clicking on THE FELINES heading at the top of this page.
We look forward to seeing you here tomorrow for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop which will feature Lisbeth. Hope you plan to add a selfie to the Hop.
