This is one of my new favorite photos of Lily Olivia. She was in a box and was a happy girl. To me her expression says, “I have mischief on my mind!”
I didn’t do anything to the photo but crop it and make this animated pencil sketch using EnjoyPic. Even though it is black & white, I think her eyes really pop. I am a huge fan of black & white photography. The kitties’ dad has a darkroom and used to do lots of black & white film photography. Now, of course, we can turn any photo into black & white using the computer.
I would have liked to do more for today’s art, but Mau kept me very busy yesterday with his Cake Walk at Cat Scouts. Plus we rode the tandem for our usual 30 miles and then spent an hour exercising in the pool. And I can’t forget our city’s fireworks, which we watched from our upper deck.
The kitties also didn’t get around to visiting much. I apologize for them. We’ll work on catching up this weekend.
Hope all our friends in the U.S. had a super fun (and safe) Independence Day.
We are participating in Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop again today. To submit your own art or view the other submissions, please click on the badge at the left.
Reminder: We were recently interviewed by Katie for the web site Cat And Toys. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check it out, I hope you will click on the link and do so. You’ll find several of your other friends have been interviewed as well.
See you tomorrow for “Sunday Selfies.”
We somehow missed this post! Lily Olivia looks beautiful in this pencil sketch, and you’re right – her eyes really do pop! Sounds like you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Sampson sends kitty-kisses and head butts to Astrid, and we all send our love.

When my human was growing up, her dad had a darkroom and later on when she was doing rock photography, she learned how to develop black and white film and photos – she even had a special developer and technique to create her black and white concert photos!
