Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #126
Another fun Friday with fill-ins hosted by Ellen from 15 And Meowing and Lorianne from Four-Legged Furballs. I really like this week’s sentences. I did, however, let the kitties complete #4.
If you’d like to participate, you can find the sentences to be completed each Thursday on both blogs. This is a blog hop. To join click on the badge.
1. I have a weakness for Utz Ripple potato chips and cats.
2. Seeing cute cats make(s) me want another and another and another. They are like those potato chips in fill-in number one.
3. I’m surprised that we aren’t growing moss or mold on our bodies with all the rain we’ve had this summer, including another four inches yesterday.
4. Kitties Blue: To make a long story short, don’t look to our mom. She loves to talk. (If you are old enough to remember the All in The Family TV series, think Edith Bunker.)
Comments
The kitties and I continue to have problems commenting on blogs that only use Google to identify commentors. In trying to find a solution, I found the following on-line. If you’d like to get our comments and are one of these blogs, would you mind trying the following?
Do you have an embedded comments page for your Blogger blog?
>If you want to check out what setting you have, go to Settings › Posts and Comments.
Under Comments check out the location of your comments function. There are four options:
- embedded (causes a problem for those using a Mac [like us])
- full page
- pop-up window
- hide
If your Comments function is set to embedded, would you please reset to full page and let us know so we can try to comment.
I have no idea if this will make a difference, but we really want to be able to comment on your posts. If this doesn’t work, I will explore further in an attempt to find a solution.
Feline Friday
Astrid was all snuggly a couple of days ago, and I managed to get a couple of photos of her while she was enjoying the warmth of the computer on my lap. She asked to share one for feline Friday at Comedy Plus. Just for fun, I added a little Halloween embellishment.

I’m so glad you like the fill-in sentences! You sure did a fantastic job with them. I could not agree more about cats being a lot like potato chips. It’s downright impossible to stop at just one!
I’m hoping the settings I changed on my blog helped sort out this issue on my end. All of this technological stuff confuses me, and I’m always crossing my fingers that I do it right.
I forgot to say how purrfect your Halloween art is, Astrid! You are the cutest kind of spooktacular there is!
Edith Bunker was great. She played off of Archie very well. Have a blessed week.
OH, our mom and dad say they especially identify with your fill in for number one. That’s why they do not keep those chips in the house. MOL!
We changed our comments per your suggestion, and hope it helps!
Great fill-ins And Astrid-I LOVE your photo today!
My big problem with comments comes from when I leave a comment using the tablet (Android). Sometimes the comments appear and sometime I think I’ve left one and never see it when I go back. There are a whole number of different factors and I can not seem to figure out which it is. So if you THINK I’ve not commented on your posts for a while, it is most likely my issues with the tablet.

Those fill ins made us giggle, at least about the Kitties and potato chips!
We do have imbedded comments, but when I looked at the settings, there is also an option about who can comment. Ours is set to anyone can comment. (Not set to the google only function.)
However we also have a WordPress account, so the link for that is on our side bar and the bottom of our blogger blog too. And when we post in the Sunday selfies I have been adding a link for both posts, which are pretty identical for the most part.
Sorry you are having so much trouble. We have a Mac…and the most trouble i have with comments is on Word Press blogs. Go figure…
Beautiful picture of you, Astrid ! Great answers ! Purrs
What a nice picture of Astrid! She doesn’t look very spooky, though. Great fill in answers too.
That is a lovely picture of Astrid.
I changed from embedded to pop up when Mark’s Mews said about it. I also have it set for anonymous and url posting as well as blogger ID.
I love Astrid’s Halloween photo. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I have a sign that says cats are like potato chips, you can’t have just one 🙂 I am sure your mom is sweet like Edith, but doesn’t sound like her 🙂 Have a nice weekend! XO
You and our mom should be in the same support group for cats and potato chips!
TW doesn’t want just one cat but I want to go solo.
TW hates the popup comments but she’s trying it since it’s better than not commenting.
I gave a friend a cute plaque that says, “Cats are like potato chips; you can’t have just one!” When I first met her, she had six cats. Now she has four, while I went from two cats to five! I want more too, but will wait until The Hubby is ready.
I always enjoy your fill-ins. I like it when the kitties take over too, because they always tell on mom. It’s a good thing.
Blogger as issues. I’m so glad I moved to WordPress last January.
Astrid is a pretty girl and love the Halloween effect. She’s purrfect for Feline Friday.
Have a fabulous Feline Friday and weekend. Hug to you and scritches to the kitties. ♥
That’s a lovely photo and great answers too! Hey, I’m doing pretty darn good today, thanks for asking about me!
Lovely cat, waiting for her Halloween sweeties is she?
Great fill-ins and cool photo of Astrid. Mom is a chip-a-holic too!
The Florida Furkids with tons of smoochies and loads of love to Mau from Allie
Astrid that is a beautiful selfie! You look dreamy! Love your fill-ins and I know if my Mom had her way I would NOT be the only kitty living here……the most she’s had at once before was four and that made her happy. She says I make her happy now though so I’m satisfied with that……….Hope your rain STOPS – moss and algae are not a good look on humans. HAHAHAHAHA
Hugs, Teddy
Yes! Cat’s really are like potato chips. And great shot of Astrid!
