Thankful Thursday
I am thankful for the blooming daffodils, tulips and dogwood trees in our yard and for warmer weather. Dad Tom and I are thankful Sawyer made it to day 53 before having another seizure. We have now begun the countdown again and are on day five. We feel so blessed for those nearly two months of quietude. Kitties Blue are thankful for the warmer days on the catio.

Kizmet and Cooper Murphy share a perch on the catio, while Cooper shows off his exceptional dangling skills.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. If you’d like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful. Then click on the badge below to be whisked away to Brian’s Home.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats) provided us with another interesting inspiration photo for this week’s poetry challenge.
Looking Back
This looks like a kitchen in a doll house,
But once it was part of the modern home
Desired by young housewives and mothers
In the early days of the twentieth century.
The kitchen in our 1912-constructed home
Would have once resembled it…happily,
For the current cooks, it no longer does.

While visiting Two Spoiled Cats, please make certain you read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Bridge each week, and it is always a winner.
53 days is a wonderful record…and we hope he’ll surpass that in the next ‘countdown’…though it would be a miracle to enjoy no more seizures ever.
We’ll keep on with the POTP and pawyers for him.
What a beautiful shot of the cats in the catio! Kismet and Cooper Murphy look so serene. We are glad the Sawyer made it to day 53! We know he can make it there again. And we LOVE your poem! You really have a way with words! We hope you all have a marvellously happy day!
Sorry Sawyer had another seizure. I hope he can go longer than 53 days this time. Nice poem. XO
That catio is the place to be! Purrs that Sawyer’s next seizure is never (or at least many many many days away).
That was a darn good thankful but Sawyer, start working on 54 now pal. Good poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Paws crossed that Sawyer remains seizure free for a long, long time.
Great to see the Catio in use and more purrs to Sawyer that he breaks the record. Dad says he remembers those days of ironing and more the smells that went with. He could never wield one of those machines MOL
Tell Sawyer I love him and let’s see if he can go longer this time without a seizure. He’s always in my prayers.
Cooper Murphy is the cats meow. He really is and tell him I love him too.
Love the poem. I’ve a friend that had a 50s kitchen and it was ever so adorable. All in pink. Well mostly in pink.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
Oh, my heart fell when I read Sawyer’s seizure-free streak was broken. May he go lots longer this time!
We rented a nice, large cabin in the woods in GA for a long weekend, and the kitchen was very similar to this, all original. My hubby, who was doing the cooking all weekend, loved it!
We hope Sawyer can go even longer this time! We’re very impurressed with Cooper Murphy’s dangle. He is such a cool dude.
Mom says kitchens like that were not unusual in the “olden days” when she was a youngster.

Let’s hope this time the countdown is every LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGER for Sawyer. We love that exceptional dangle The Coop is demonstrating on the catio too. Impressive. Love your poem – that’s the kind of thing WE saw in the photo – days gone by – the heart of the home in the old days…….appliances with NO electronic parts to go bad……and best of all good home cookin’ !!! Happy Thursday!
Hugs, Ted and Mom
