As reported earlier, Cat Scout Mau has entered the Cardwood Derby with his Cat Scout University security vehicle. We haven’t been promoting, but he could use your votes to to get in the derby finals. If you are so inclined, you can vote for him here. Several voting categories exist. Mau is listed in each category. Here are the photos of his car. Voting ends tonight at midnight.
Mau has entered the second, sort-of-annual Cat Scouts‘ Cardwood Derby, and he needs your votes to win this super cool trophy. It would have his name and not Scout Banzai should he win.
As Mauricio is Director of Campus Security at Cat Scouts University he thought it would be nice to have an official campus vehicle. Here are a few photos of Mau, his car and his pit crew. We’ll tell you how to vote at the end of this post.

I am pretty happy with my improved design and construction skills in comparison to Mau’s last derby car. If you weren’t following us then, here’s a photo. It was more elaborate, but the craftsmanship was definitely lacking.
Though Mau’s car is better constructed this year, I fear he has no chance of taking home that trophy. The competition is really tough. Scouts were able to create any type of vehicle they wanted, and some are more imaginative than his. There’s a hot air balloon, a food truck and a stagecoach to name a few of the unique entries.
If you would like to vote for Mauricio, you can do so on the Cat Scouts Organization page on Facebook. He has two photos. Scroll down until you find them and then “LIKE” them. You have through January 22 to cast your vote. While you are there check out all the entries. They really are creative.

Never took “no” for an answer
And always got your way.
If not, you’d bark to signal your
Displeasure and sometimes raise a paw.
I always joked that you were bi-polar.
When I told people you were a calico
They immediately understood what I meant.
Today was unnaturally quiet in the house.
Can a home seem empty with eight cats?
I will miss waking up at night to find you
Sitting next to me and staring at me.
I will miss you yelling at us as you did
When you wanted breakfast and dinner.
I will miss watching you lounging and snoozing
On the porch settee on a warm afternoon.
But most of all I will miss your kisses!
When kitten Sawyer befriended you,
We suspect you were imparting your
Wisdom and secrets for controlling us.
Time will tell if he was a good listener.
But whatever he may have learned,
Neither Sawyer nor any other cat
Can or will replace you in our hearts.
Lily Olivia, you were one-of-a-kind.
