Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Each Thursday, dear friends, Angel Sammy & Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats), provide an inspiration photo for those of us who enjoy writing poetry. If you follow our blog regularly, you know I try to add at least one of the Kitties Blue to the photo. This week, that honor went to Raleigh. He and I hope you enjoy his performance and my poem.
Cat in the Chorus Line
They said my legs were too short…
And too furry
To ever join the chorus line!
But I practiced everyday
And came to an audition.
When they saw my high kick,
They burst out in applause.
Now I’m the token cat
With my very own red top hat!

If you haven’t been participating in Teddy and Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge, I recommend you give it a try. It’s the perfect opportunity to get creative. Check out Two Spoiled Cats, by clicking on the poetry badge, for next week’s inspiration photo. And please read Angel Sammy’s poem. He’s one of our very favorite poets.
Thankful Thursday
Thursday also is the day we share those things for which we are thankful.
The main and most important thankful for this week is the fact that I somehow managed to get our post notification e-mails working again. And the authors of the plug-in have finally acknowledged all the complaints on the WordPress.org forum.
Last week I was thankful and happy to report that Sawyer hadn’t had a seizure in a few weeks. Unfortunately his streak was broken this past Friday. I am thankful, however, that I was with him when it began. He was under the edge of the bed, and I was able to get him out and wrapped in a towel before he could hurt himself.
Calista Jo, Astrid and I are thankful for those of you who read this week’s Looking Back post and left comments there.
All the Kitties Blue and I are thankful for you sticking with us through all my whining about the site issues.
Your support, following and friendship are always on our list of thankfuls.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on his badge to join the hop.
Thanks alot : ) for your post. I’d prefer to write my opinion that the tariff of car insurance varies from one coverage to another, simply because there are so many different issues which bring about the overall cost. By way of example, the make and model of the auto will have a massive bearing on the fee. A reliable outdated family auto will have a more affordable premium than a flashy fancy car.
That was a fun poem. I have a feeling there would be a lot of falls if there was a cat there. 🙂 XO
I love that chorus line and the super cat in the red hat!!! Those were nice thankfuls and I’m gld that dear Sawyer is okay, we always think of him and his battle. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
The poem is so cute! And these computer issues that pop up can make me so tired and it seems like every time I go to do something, I have to fix something first. I blame it all on Mercury is in Retrograde. Always. Hah!
Thank goodness you were near enough to pick Sawyer up and help him before the seizure was more strong. You’ll be ready for a trip to visit Periwinkle in no time!
We hope Raleigh (and Cooper Murphy) got big kisses today for Kiss a Ginger Day!!!
His poem was great!
Bummer on the seizure but so nice that he went a long time without one.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
But of course you stunned them with your talents, Raleigh!
Raleigh, we bet you can kick REAL high! And you’re not the only cat on the chorus line, you’re the only boy, too! We really liked your poem, and maybe next week Mom will get back with it, er, help us do a poem again. XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
I would love to see a cat on a chorus line. 🙂
Raleigh is a good addition to the chorus line.
Raleigh you are a most impressive addition to the Rockettes lineup! The red hat suits you for sure. We love the poem – it’s PURRRFECT – just like you are.
Hugs, Teddy
OOPS, I think I used Calisto Jo’s name on the wrong blog in a comment….well it was mama’s fault as she was dictating that day! But we are happy for Sawyer and that you were there to aid him. Sorry for borrowing you name Calisto Jo. There is a Calista kitty on another of our favorite blogs, Catscue, mama thinks. Some day, memory is fleeting around here haha.
Raleigh, you are “Puttin’ on the Ritz” this week! And I’m glad you were able to catch Sawyer and keep him safe during the seizure, Janet.
I love your poem! Raleigh is going to be furmouse, now, MOL!
I’m glad your site issues were fixed. II would miss not seeing you come into my mailbox. I guess those plug in peeps felt ashamed that they caused so much trouble. Corrupted software is such. PAIN.
