The thing that makes today’s photo unique is not the editing I did to create our Caturday Art. What makes it unusual is the fact that Astrid was on the catio and she and Giulietta were in such close proximity. Astrid was on the cat tower and Giulietta on the railing. They had been watching the birds on the feeder that is just out of frame to the right.
I used two different photo-editing programs to create our submission to Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. I started with funny.pho.to. I used the “cartoon” filter and added the frame. I then loaded that photo in piZap where I bumped up the saturation and added the “watery” effect.
In the original photo, I think Giulietta merely looks curious at finding Astrid joining her for Bird TV. In the art photo, she looks angry at Astrid for invading her space. For this reason, I think I like the original best.

Oh boy, tomorrow is Sunday. And you know what that means: Time for selfies! We had an amazing turnout last Sunday with 57 entries. That’s ten more participants than our best turnouts. We are so excited to see what you have to offer this week. You all are so clever and creative when it comes to your selfies and “groupies.”
If you missed Monday’s post, click here to leave a comment and earn a chance to win a Lilly Brush Be Forever Furless. This really is an amazing product, and you don’t want to miss this opportunity to win one for yourself.
Hi Janet! Yes, we love that program too and it is as you mentioned, what we used for the composition of cartoon critters! Isn’t it great?! Love yours too 🙂

Very cool photo! Love the cartoon effect. Sampy is of course over the moon to see Astrid featured today. He is happy to that she and Giulietta are getting along…maybe? 🙂
We are hoping to be able to get a post up for the selfie hop tomorrow. Mom is visiting her mom this weekend and forgot her computer. She has her ipad, but it’s not good for posting on the blog. She says she is going to see what she can do!
Sampy sends jillions of kisses to Astrid, and we all send lots of love!!

I love the cartoon effect and would use it every week if I could. Yes, she does look angry.

Now this is a great look. My favorite of all.
Pawsome art today. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
I dunno, do you think that putting that photo through all those filters maybe revealed Giulietta’s REAL thoughts?
That’s so interesting! And how different they look when the art is applied!
Off to start working the camera fur a selfie issue…
In re: Your comment. Yes, Ma’am. ::ashamed ears::
Now, you wanna know what *I* think? *I* think Miss Giulietta looks pretty p.o.’d in the unretouched photo, too–ha ha meow!

Your creativity is endless. I hope to be back soon. Still struggling with my injuries. Chloe Jo is stable now. The meds helped. We still are not sure what is going on. So many of her issues are congenital. XO
You kittehz look lovely. Was this taken last summer? We noticed the beautiful leafy greens in the background.
Happy Caturday!
