Sawyer enjoys his breakfast al fresco on the catio. He also participates in the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you’d like to join him, click on the badge.
Sparks
With yesterday being Mother’s Day and the war still raging in the Ukraine, I think the Spark I selected for today is appropriate, and I totally believe it to be true.
I used one of Dad Tom’s sunflower photos from 2017, as the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.
The author of today’s Spark, E.M. (Edward Morgan) Forster (1879 – 1970) was an English fiction writer, essayist and librettist. His novels include, A Room with a View, Howards End and A Passage to India. The latter brought him his greatest success. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 20 separate years.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

What’s happening in Ukraine is evil.
Am drawing on the warmth and renewal of Spring to help me overcome the sadness and madness that is pulled out of me when I watch the news.
Nothing like a leisurely breakfast in the sun! Great spark from E. M. Forster and I believe that’s true. I also read the Heather Cox Richardson column on the origin of Mother’s Day. Quite enlightening.

OOPS! SEEING what their adventure is. Silly grin here at the tyoo.
That looks like a great place to have breakfast.
Such a sweet, happy photo of Sawyer, and a beautiful Spark to remember …
I’m sure you’re right about Moms meeting to settle things and no more war. A dream that we all have. Love the SPARK and love the photo of Sawyer chowing down on his breakfast in the catio.
Hugs, Pam
Of course there would be no war. Read Heather Cox Richardson’s column on how Mothers’ Day began. It was a call for PEACE.
