Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #46
It’s time again for the Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Every Friday Ellen and Annie each select two statements for us to complete. Ellen selects the first two statements and Annie the second two.
This is a blog hop. To participate, go to Annie’s Blog (link above).
My completions are in teal italics.
1. In the Spring, I look forward to the crocuses, daffodils and tulips blooming.
2. I would love to have a fiftieth anniversary party in six years. This year we will celebrate our anniversary at the BlogPaws Conference.
3. Few know this about me, but though we had cats when I was a very little girl, I was a dog person from about 1956 to 1987. I still love woofies.
4. No one should ever be treated disrespectfully.

I love your wedding photo. Fun! Wow. I remember those days in time.I still have to have a dog around. I cannot imagine not having a dog. It was too hard when we didn’t for about 11 months from 2012-2013. Chloe Jo likes having a dog, too. HUGS.
This is a very interesting web page and I have enjoyed reading many of the articles and posts contained on the website, keep up the good work and hope to read some more interesting content in the future.
Hi. I really enjoyed reading your answers. I completely agree with your #4. Your wedding picture is so filled with joy! We will celebrate 30 years later this year. I love the picture that goes with #1!
We hope you get to catabrate 50 years of being wedded, too! What a milestone! We are hoping to have our thirtieth later this summer:) If we had gotten married in our early twenties, like when we were just out of school we might hit 50 sooner but oh well…being in our 80’s for our fiftieth isn’t that awful is it?? MOL!!!
Congrats a wee bit early!
There were no kitties at petcretary’s den either…only a dog after she was a teenager. Kitties began in 1988, shortly after the peeps got married in 1987…
We love seeing the firts crocuses too, so pretty after the long cold winters.
I love seeing the crocuses, daffodils and tulips bloom during spring! I bought myself a bouquet of tulips today, a tradition I’ve done for years (though have to admit the past 4 years I’ve neglected this tradition) for the first weekend of spring. 🙂
I LOVE that wedding photo! You guys were just kids when you got married! 🙂 I sure hope you get your 50th anniversary party – you deserve it!
Awesome that you were a dog person – we had dogs growing up, but when I moved out on my own, I had cats. Now we have cats and dogs who get along with each other great (some of the cats think they’re dogs, and vice versa…heh!)
And AMEN to your #4 answer! 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Love the early 70s tux your husband is wearing. I remember a photo of my brother wearing something similar with the wide lapels.
Dogs and cats both make great pets. The usually get along okay if they are introduced when they are young. Have a great week.
That wedding picture is so special, Mom Janet! 44 years … wow, that is so wonderful!
I love the flowers that you mentioned. They are all so beautiful.
You look like a very happy couple. Happy 50th anniversary 6 years early! I am sure I’ll forget by then. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I enjoyed your answers. Beautiful wedding photo and I hope you do get to have a big 50th party, this year will be 25 for us, but no party. I was a dog person until I got married. And I like your #4, great answer. Have a nice weekend!
Great fill in answers! What a cool wedding pic…that definitely was a blast from the past. 🙂
We love the wedding photo. Congratulations on 44 years of wedded bliss. How incredible! I am guessing the secret of a long happy marriage is having cats.
What a great wedding photo! And congrats! I hope you’ll still be blogging in six years so we can see your 50th party! LOL! I, too, love both cats and dogs. Even though we only have the seven kitties at the moment, I do miss our woofs! 😀
We love that wedding photo!!! 50 years! That really does deserve a special celebration.
The Florida Furkids with bazillion smoochies and love to Mau from Allie
Wonderful fill-ins! How awesome to have a big anniversary coming up! And we’re glad you came over to the cat side, too! MOL!
Those were good and the wedding photo was a fun one!
I LOVE that wedding photo. How you are dressed and look beings back memories of a time that still creates fond thoughts of my own. You both look fabulous!
I will answer the fill ins here if that is OK.
1. In the Spring I look forward to heading out with my DSLR for wildflowers and landscape opportunities.
2.. I would love to have a birthday party one day.
3. Few know this about me but I have had a strong character shaping career.
4. N one should be less than a good steward to all animals.
Oh my goodness, your wedding photo is beautiful! You two look so happy, and there is nothing more perfect than that. Though I will likely always have more kitties than pups in my home (let’s be honest, kitties are far more self-reliant than pups), and though I happily consider myself a crazy cat lady, I think I will always be a dog person as well. I can’t imagine not having at least one pup in my life to go with all of my kitties. I’ve had both cats and dogs my whole life, and I just don’t see that changing. And, your #4 could not be any more true. Happy Friday to all of you!
Janet your wedding photo is absolutely WONDERFUL….you two radiated enormous happiness THEN and still do…..David and I saw and felt it when we met you guys! I hope you can have some kind of amazing adventure for your 50th and I just bet you will. Meanwhile, LOVED your fill-ins as always and we hope to see some sort of Springish signs soon….that surprise snow killed everything that had begun to bloom!
Love, Pam
We’re so glad you found the “right” side … otherwise known as cats 😉
I was a dog-sitter for years – I wouldn’t trade those relationships for the world … I still have pictures of all the furbabies I cared for.
I LOVE tulips. One of the best days of my entire life was 10 springs ago where I just happened by the most amazing layout of tulips of every color. It took my breath away and was the happiest I’d been in years. Funny how stopping to smell the flowers (LITERALLY) can change one’s perspective just enough to find life within one’s self when you thought it was all gone.
OMC, I adore your wedding photo! I doubt my human will ever have a 50th wedding anniversary because a) she’s not married yet, and b) she would have to live awfully long to celebrate 50 years, even if she and her boyfriend got married tomorrow.
