Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Teddy and Angel Sammy selected a really fun inspiration photo today for their weekly poetry challenge. Unfortunately, I was not up to the challenge. I feel this week’s poem is not up to parr, but I always want to support our friends at Two Spoiled Cats by posting a poem each Thursday.
So…here’s the photo and my poem.
Bathing Beauties?
Are these bathing beauties or just
Ladies making a fashion faux pas?
Though not a fan of string bikinis,
These get-ups are far more ghastly.
One girl has a boo boo on her knee.
That’s probably why she didn’t win.
She looks delighted just the same.
Maybe being a runner-up was a surprise.
Or did she meet some special guy,
Who thought her quite appealing?
After all…beauty is subjective.

Please pop over to Two Spoiled Cats to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy, and it is always purrfect. You also can find links to other poems in the Comment section.
Thankful Thursday
We are joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by our friend, Brian. If you would like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge at the left to link up to the hop.
Dad Tom and I remain thankful we are virus free.
I am super thankful that while Dad Tom was not home, I finally was able to free Sawyer’s head from under the radiator while he was in the throes of a massive seizure on Monday. It was so scary. I was certain either he or I would strangle him. He seems to be okay; though, taking a bit longer to totally recover.
Kitties Blue, Dad Tom and I are especially thankful that our host Brian’s dad, Terry, is home from the hospital and his heart is okay!

It is very sad that Sawyer is not responding to the medications from the vet. Idiopathic Eilepsy is a toughie….there is no rhyme or reason for the seizures. Is there anything Sawyer enjoys to do….other than eat, I mean?
Snap we will get together on my birthday. I must talk with Shoko and we’ll see if we can pick you up for the day with us. Do you want to ask your mom if you can visit Canada for the day. We’ll keep out of the way of radar at the border.

We enjoyed the wonderful poem that you shared. We are happy you were there to help Sawyer out during one of his seizures. We hope he is ok after that one. Thanks for sharing. Have a great upcoming weekend.
Checking in to make sure everything is okay. No new post today has us worried.

Great poem. You are so observant, I didn’t notice the knee. I am glad you were home with Sawyer to hep him. XO
Oh no! Poor Sawyer! We’re so glad you got his head out!
OMC! That must have been so scary to have Sawyer stuck like that while having a seizure. We’re glad he (and you!) are okay. Sending Sawyer many purrs for no more seizures.
We are thankful too that you were able to extricate Sawyer ! We pray he will be seizure free at least for awhile – and that Ninja finds his way home !
Ia am so sorry to hear about Sawyer’s seizure, so scary where it happened. Prayers, Purrs and POTP!
So sorry to hear about Sawyer, but so Thankful that you were home to help him. Healing Pawkisses for Sawyer and clean Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday to all of you. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞
Sending purrs and prayers and POTP for Sawyer! And lot’s of thankfuls that you were home with him. Those bathing suits – MOL! Love the poem.
That was a cute poem! We’re thankful you were able to rescue sweet Sawyer too, we sure are sending purrs to that sweet guy. Thanks for the kind words about our Dad, he appreciates it and so do we. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Sawyer is so fortunate to have loving humans to manage his illness for him.
Thank COD you were hope and able to help Sawyer.
Those bathing beauties made us laugh…you wouldn’t see anything like that today!!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie (ps – she loved her present and her card) and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
I am so sorry Sawyer and you all had to go through that. And I am so sorry that he is slow to recover fully this time. I hope the Vet is getting more and more research on Sawyer’s illness to help him more, in the nearest future. XXXOOO
Poor Sawyer. He is very lucky to have you.
I am sorry Sawyer had another seizure, but glad you were able to free his head from under the radiator.
We are also happy that you were home when Sawyer had that seizure – that was extremely scary for sure. We thought this photo would bring some giggles and fun poetry and it sure has as we’ve read the ones posted this morning – including this one. I too noticed the boo boo on the one girl’s knee but I have a feeling early “bathing beauty” contests were more about popularity – just look at those outfits – it surely wasn’t about bathing suits! HAHA
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
That poem is great…way better than my not making one at all, MOL!
I wonder what they were doing…some kind of a contest for sure, though.
Wow, I am so happy you got Sawyer out of his scary predicament. That just makes me shudder.
And its great that Brian’s Dad is home and doing fine. Thankful indeed!
