Friendly Fill-Ins
I am pawticipaing in today’s Friendly Friday Fill-Ins and using them (except #2) as a way to purrmote Layla Morgan Wilde’s (Cat Wisdom 101) Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to publish her new book Black Cats Tell: True Tales By 22 Amazing Cats. You can read more about this below.
My fill-ins are in teal italics.
2. I refuse to buy clothing unless there is a sale or a coupon.
One of the most special cats I ever loved was a gentle and sweet black panfur, Thelma. She left us suddenly and too soon at age 12. She was my first “heart” cat. You can read more about her here.
Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop hosted by Ellen from 15 And Meowing and Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Click on their badge to be transported to Annie’s blog where you can enter the link to your post.
New Book from CatWisdom 101 Author
From Layla’s blog: This is the first non-profit anthology of myth-busting, true stories by 22 amazing, BLACK CATS to raise shelter adoption rates. Humor and entertaining stories can chip away at preferences and prejudice. That’s the idea behind Black Cats Tell: True Tales By 22 Amazing Cats. By simply sharing positive stories told from the cats’ perspective, opinions about them can change.
From famous cats to the cat next door, these real cats tell it like it is. Their funny, surprising and entertaining tales aim to shift the perception of black cats and in turn increase their adoption rate.
It’s so simple and yet there are no books like this, yet.
I had a wonderful black cat, Dolly. She was tiny and a diva that was given to me when she was six weeks old. She died five years ago at nineteen. I still miss her.
Those are perfect fill-ins and such a great way to raise awareness for Layla’s project!
Those are some awesome housepanther-y answers, sweet pals! Gracie and Zoe especially love them. 🙂
Thelma looks like a wonderful kitty and we are sure she is so happy to be on the blog. Black cats are really great and we have a very handsome House Panfur who will be joining the Selfie Blog Hop tomorrow.
Well, you know we’re BIG fans of black cats here! We loved your spin on the fill-ins this week.
Also, I forgot to mention I added your link to my Kickstarter page.
That was a great fill in. My mum used to have 3 brothers before she had me and Eric, and 2 were black and 1 was a tuxie.
Wow, this fill-in was a wonderful surprise. Thanks for the shout out to Black Cats Tell All. Thelma sounded wonderful. If you’d like to submit her story, let me know.
We agree, black cats rock!
That was a fabulous fill in!!!
Beautiful Thelma. I have never understood the stigma attached to black cats. I mean, really?? They’re fabulous! I know I love all the ones I’ve had or have! 🙂
While we are not black, meowmy does love them and the ones she has come to know before she even had any of her own kitties, were black…sleek and like mini panthers:)
Great Fill-Ins! Mom’s never had a black cat but she thinks they are stunning and LUCKY!
The Florida Furkids with eleventy billion smoochies and tons of love to Mau from Allie
I love black cats too, they are beautiful and so undeserving of all the bad publicity. God created all creatures great and small, and I know He loves His majestic black cats as much as any other! This sounds like a really wonderful book to read and promote!
There is a wonderful, friendly black cat in our neighborhood. We don’t know who owns it, but it seems like it’s feral except it’s so friendly. Our humans call him Panther. He has shiny black furs and gives my humans head butts and asks for scritches. He comes over the front door for breakfast and dinner.

We don’t have black cats here any more, but the head peep wasn’t without one her entire adult life until just a few years ago. Black cats are really special!
Simon, our resident Black Cat, says he agrees with your answers!!
Purrfect fill-ins! I love that you devoted this to the wonderful black cat project. Black cats truly are something special, and your Thelma was beautiful. Purrs!
Love your “black cat” fill-ins today AND we too think Miss Layla’s book is a truly wonderful project and we hope her Kickstarter is successful. IF anyone can raise that funding it’s her. Have a perfectly wonderful Friday!
Love, Sammy
Mr. M loves your answers & hopes you consider tuxedos to be honorary black cats.
Great answers indeed and we are sorry to have been awol so much..between Forrest leaving us and a mini trip to the states we have been frazzled..but we also have proudly pledged to Miss Laylas Kickstarter..in memory of four lost house panthers of ours and our current girl Cleo…purrs and love to all Fozziemum xx

Awesome answers. You know how I feel about black cats. I had read about this, so will go check it out. Love you all…❤
When we started our blog, one of the first jokes was that Bear wanted to be a black cat because he thinks they are so cool. Turns out he’s really smart on that account!
