Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
It’s Thursday and time to join Two Spoiled Cats (Teddy and Angel Sammy) by writing a little poetry. I added Lisbeth to this week’s inspiration photo. I also flipped the photo horizontally, as it worked better for Lisbeth’s placement.
My poem is written from Lisbeth’s perspective.
Please Be My One & Only
Do you love your pony more than me?
Because that’s exactly what I see.
I want to be your one and only,
But I can’t seem to compete with that pony.
No pony could love you more than I do,
And he can’t climb in bed and sleep with you.
I protect you from monsters all through the night,
As I lie real close and never let you out of my sight.
Don’t get me wrong, I too like your pony friend,
Especially when he gives me rides to pasture’s end.
He’s never once tried to throw me to the ground
Or complained about my sometimes caterwauling sounds.
I just want you to hug me around the neck
And sometimes give my head a little pet.
Yes, I’m jealous and embarrassed to admit it,
But I need some love…even if just a little bit.
I promise to be your true and faithful friend
And love you until my life comes to an end.
So please will you reciprocate…
Let me be your one true love and soulmate.

Thankful Thursday
Our ambitious and busy Cat Scout, Cooper Murphy, gets the first thankful again this week. He earned three new merit badges. Dad Tom and I are very proud of him and his commitment to scouting.
Cat Scouts is always looking for new members, and as co-leader (along with Teddy Kimmell) of The Wildcats Troop, he’d like to invite you to join in the fun. Just click on the link to pop over and check it out.
Kitties Blue and I are thankful for all our supporters, friends and followers, especially three new subscribers to our blog.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by our pal, Brian. We are participating, and you can do the same by following the URL on Brian’s badge.
That is a precious poem and darn good thankfuls too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Aww, Lisbeth, that’s a sweet and sad song. You will always be loved beyond measure. (And it was a great poem, too!) XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
That was a sweet poem. I love how you put a cat twist on them. Congrats to Cooper Murphy on all those badges. That reminds me I need to unlock Sammy’s March facts and words of wisdom for the last time. XO

That is a very sweet poem.
Lisbeth, you make a striking addition to the photo! You make a good point too, horses and ponies are nice and we like them too, but there is no more constant companion than a kitty!

Lizbeth, maybe you could go for a ride on that pony. That would be fun.
We absolutely LOVE your poem and how Lisbeth joined the photo.
ConCats to Cooper Murphy. It was a busy week at Cat Scouts. It would be great if
we got some new Scouts too!
Bad Mom forgot to send my love and whisker kisses to Sawyer!
Lizbeth, everyone here knows that a cat is the bestest companion, and horses are nice but they stay outside in the barn and the field. Cats can go anywhere, and then sleep in your beddy.
Oh how I love love love your poem today and the addition of sweeet Lisbeth who has NOTHING to worry about when it comes to being a one and only! Horses are gorgeous and fun but they don’t PURRRRRRR! We’re proud of Cooper’s accomplishments too……he’s a very special Cat Scout.
Hugs, Teddy (and Pam)
Wow, now that’s what I call a poem! And Lisbeth, you are loved more than you know and it’s okay that you can’t gallop. Interferes with snoozing…
That is a sweet and lovely poem!
Those are cool achievements for Cooper Murphy! Concats to him!
We have Sandhill Cranes here and they often are strutting in the field across form our house, and they are amazing to see when they fly in synchrony. Or dance.
We have them around where I work, too.One was playing with a big fallen branch and looked like he might have thought it was a snake. He shook it, and tossed it into the air…over and over again!
