Awww Mondays
I took this photo of Cooper Murphy as part of a series for Week One of a photo challenge, entitled Intentional Color. Obviously, the color I selected was orange. I did not stage the photo; though, I had been trying to figure out how I could. The orange butterfly was already in Cooper’s tent, but he got the other orange toy out of the toy box and began playing with it right in front of his tent.
No matter what the situation, Cooper Murphy is always awwwdorable, so he is participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you’d like to do the same, click on the badge below.
Sparks
My dad’s birthday was yesterday, which caused me to think about aging. He would have turned 99, but he died in 1998 at the age of 76. I am only four years away from that age, and I find that fact more than a little disquieting. It’s what prompted me to look for a positive Spark dealing with aging.
I am definitely going to do my best to embrace this sentiment.
Betty Friedan was born the same year as by dad. She, however, lived to be 85. Friedan was an American feminist writer, activist and leading figure in the women’s movement in the United States. Her 1963 book, The Feminine Mystique, is often credited with sparking the second wave of American feminism in the 20th century. Friedan co-founded the National Organization for Women (NOW) in 1966 and was elected its first president.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks,“I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

Your favorite, fun-loving tabbies will be sharing another adventure tomorrow. Please stop by Friends Furever to see what the heck they get up to or into. It definitely will be something fun!
That is a whole lot of orange awesomeness in that picture, Cooper Murphy! We love that Spark; that’s such a good way to look at things!
Cooper Murphy, we love the color orange and you are so lovely in the photo with all your orange stuff all around. Thanks for sharing the sweet photo. Have a beautiful rest of your week.
One of the commenters mentioned ignoring the woman in the mirror…that’s what I’ve been trying to do, and go with the woman I know I still am. Maybe I should get rid of the mirrors…
You couldn’t have done much better with the oranges – especially with Cooper Murphy!
I love all that orangey stuff, but the best of all is Cooper Murphy! Aging is something we all grapple with eventually, I’m trying not to worry about it as my body changes and has more issues – after all, there is not one darn thing I can do to stop it!
We love your pure orange goodness Cooper Murphy!
I love that photo. And that is a great spark too. XO
I think that I am aging well, since I still have a lot of little kid inside of me!
I ignore the woman in the mirror…
If I was a kitty Cooper Murphy would be my boyfriend. Just saying. He’s handsome and fun.
Love the Spark.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week.
The mom isn’t getting any younger either…and needs to embrace this Spark as well. Cooper Murphy…you are nothing but orangey goodness.
That’s an orangy photo of awwwsomeness!! Mom likes that Spark. That’s a great way of looking at aging.

Coop and I know how pawsome ORANGE is…..we live it, play with it, sleep on and in it, and ROCK it all day every day. We love the SPARK – made Mom think about life and aging which she’s been doing more of these days. Her Dad was 76 when he passed away and Mom is 74 this year – as Miss Ingrid said in her comment, surviving cancer (in Mom’s case multiple times) makes her grateful to be ANY age as long as she’s HERE. Life is still what we make it – no matter how long we’re “in it”. I am making sure that I have the best time EVER while I’m here – I’m a lucky boy.
Hugs, Teddy
Orange is such a happy color! But I cannot wear it, it does nothing for me, LOL!
Greg is soon to be 67,and he lost his Dad at 68, and recently his brother died at age 69.
Though his mom lived to be 93.
So if he can get past those hurdles he will likely feel a lot more secure.
I’ll be 67 in a few months, but for me, I am 12 years past a stage 3b ovarian cancer diagnoses, so every day and each year are blessings and I amazed to be part of them. Most of my family have lived to at least 80, some well into their 90’s.
I think orange is an awesome color!
Cooper Murphy you look great in this colorful photo!!
