I first featured angel MacKenzie in a Caturday Art post back in May. It being Fall and Mac being the color of an Autumn leaf, I thought it would be nice to share him with you again today.
MacKenzie was only ten when he developed and passed from an inoperable abdominal tumor. He was his mama’s boy and followed me around as if attached my a short, invisible string. Seeing him here brings back so many happy memories.
To create the above art, I started with this over-lit, outdoor photo of Mac when he was still a youngster. Most changes were made using Picasa. After cropping the photo, I used: 1) I’m Feeling Lucky; 2) Warmify; 3) Ortonish and 4) Posterize (retaining most of the detail). The final step was the addition of the yellowed papyrus paper effect from AdornPic.

We love this picture. It reminds us of a very old picture on a piece of wood. It would be cool to have a picture like that on a piece of wood hanging on your wall. Sorry Mac had to go to the Rainbow Bridge. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S.)
Lovley artwork you made with the photo of MacKenzie <3
XOXO
What a great photo! Mackenzie was very handsome. I agree with Katnip Lounge – it would look really neat as a piece of art.
Sampy sends a bajillion kisses to Astrid, along with lots of purrs. He also wanted her to know that he was in our Caturday Art post yesterday. He thought she might want to see it. 🙂
We just love this artwork. And we see the love that went behind it.
I have a weakness for Ornj kitties! This would be beautiful printed and decoupaged onto a piece of weathered wood.
MacKenzie reminds us of P-Kitty, who works at the bodega on the corner.
Mac sure did have autumnal coloring. Very nice!
That is a very nice one!
Great art ! We didn’t know MacKenzie, he was a beautiful cat ! Purrs
That’s a great creation. Of course you were able to start with a pretty fantastic subject.
Love how that turned out and tomorrow we are joining Sunday Selfie and it’s Abby’s and Annabelle turn to participate. Remembering them keeps them alive.
MacKenzie was gorgeous 🙂 Love what you did with his picture! I don’t know how you remember what you do with you pictures. I use different editing sites and just jump around until I like what I have done.
Beautiful photo and what a lovely cat!
