It may not look like it in the photos I am about to share with you, but I have been very adventurous lately. Mom doesn’t know what has come over me. I have bolted out onto the front porch three times. One time Misty May, my nemesis, chased me back inside. The other two times, Mom shook the treat container, and I hurriedly reentered the house. Besides that, I have been venturing to the second floor.* She has found me there three times. She’s been so surprised each time that she has failed to get photos.
Without photo proof of these adventurous turns, I am sharing photos of how I usually spend my time…hanging out in the kitchen (where Mom works on our blog) and occupying Mom’s lap.
I am sorry the second photo is a bit over-lit and that you have to look at Mom’s wrinkly elbow. If you concentrate on my lovely eyes and gorgeous tortie furs, that elbow will just disappear.
I am sure that if my adventures continue, either Mom or I will be letting you know. In the meantime, you can find me napping on her lap or doing a purrfect four-paw knead on her thighs.
Purrs and paw-pats (with special nose kisses for Sampy, ), Astrid
* If you read our blog regularly, you know that I, by my own choice, stay downstairs.
Great job, Astrid! Way to keep Mom and everybuddy else guessing. 🙂
Astrid, I think it’s okay as long as your adventurous side doesn’t get you in too much trouble 🙂
XOXO
Keep up the adventures Astrid.
(if you hadn’t mentioned mom’s elbow, I wouldn’t have noticed it).
Way to go Astrid. At least some of us are having fun.
Allie: Astrid, girlcats are far more adventurous on average than mere boycats, *I* think. You go girl!
(Our mom wants to tell your mom thank you – so very much – for all her kind words about her dad’s passing. They are deeply appreciated!)
Uh oh…be careful! Our little tortie, Tootsie, came to us as a stray. She is over the Rainbow, now. but blessed our home for many years. We worry when cats go outside. Stay safe! ~xo~
Way to go, Astrid.
Astrid, we think showing your adventurous side is okay as long as it doesn’t get you in too much trouble.
We’ve all been especially lazy here with the heat. Your adventures sound exciting. Keep them guessing!
Dat’s pawsum Astrid. Glad yous be gettin’ adventurous and havin’ fun. Have a gweat day.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Lexi
I can see that adventurous spirit in your eyes, Astrid! I hope you don’t run too far. I would hate to hear that something bad happened. You are such a beautiful girl!
Astrid, us Torties have our own agenda and it’s fun when others try to figure us out! All they need to know is we’re beautiful and have lots of Tortitude!
Astrid you are a lovely tortie and we are glad you are becoming more adventurous! We hope you don’t try to go outside though. That isn’t a good idea but anywhere inside is great!!
Dearest Astrid,
I am so proud of your adventurous spirit! You are even braver than I am! I don’t know if that’s saying much though… Regardless, I am proud of you! I hope that you will continue with your adventures, except darting outside, of course. You better STOP doing that! It scares me and your parents! I am sending all of my love and 203487652407835 kisses. Keep up the good work, my sweet!
Love,
Sampy
The allure of the great outdoors is more appealing when it is forbidden. In Midway, mes can comes and goes when me wants, but mes spends most of my time in the house!
Stay safe grrl furrend.
Kisses
Nellie
Oh Astrid, you are a tearaway!
Great photos and I wouldn’t have even noticed Mom’s elbow had you not pointed it out.
We enjoy climbing and jumping until Mum tells us “enough” – it’s funny how we both get deaf ears when she says that!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Astrid you are just doing what cats do…………keeping everyone guessing what you will do next. Good Job!
Purrs to all and special kisses to my sweetie Ms Lisbeth
Scout Charles
Astrid – you’re stretching your limits lately huh? Getting more adventurous/daring? Well, we all get a little crazy from time to time….just remember “there’s no place like home” and “Mom’s lap is my favorite place” !!! HAHAHAHA
Love, Sammy
It’s all about the tortitude, isn’t it, Astrid? We can’t wait to hear about your further adventures.
Astrid, did anyone ever tell you that you blend in beautifully with that kitchen? The gold on your faces matches the gold on the backsplash. The colors of you in the close up are also gorgeous. The “elbow” is so blurred we didn’t even know it was an elbow till you meowed (spoke) up. We’re sure though your “other” adventures enhance your beauty in the kitchen. We say: “keep moving!” (But return to the kitchen often)
I think too that you are just showing your torttitude. You are of an independent nature. Have fun.
Toby tries to get outside too! Its so funny to see mom go chasing after him. He acts like he doesn’t know he’s not allowed outside without suiting up (harness/leash). You be careful, Astrid, going outside. Its a bad world out there!
We didn’t know you had such an adventurous life ! Purrs
Astrid, you are just showing Mom your tortitude!
We are very content to gaze upon your gorgeous furs, AStrid!
Some adventure are fun, but da kitchen are where da foodz iz!
I think every kitty should express her adventurous side!
We didn’t even notice the elbow until you said so.MOL!
You are becoming more confidant, else you would not be having yourself these catventures:)
