Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
It’s Thursday and time to put on our poetry thinking caps and see what we can come up with for Teddy and Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge over at Two Spoiled Cats.
I really liked this week’s inspiration photo, but that thinking cap seemed to have a short circuit, until I finally settled on trying a limerick. So, that’s exactly what I’ve written this week.
What a bummer to get a flat tire,
dressed up in your very best attire
on the way to prom.
Just try to stay calm,
and your boyfriend’s strength admire!

While visiting Two Spoiled Cats make certain you read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy each week from the Rainbow Bridge. Angel Sammy is an incredible poet, and his poems are always worth reading.
Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day when we share the things for which we are thankful.
Firstly, we are thankful for all the kindness, love and support we continue to receive as we grieve the loss of Mau. We are particularly grateful for the evening of remembrance for Mau at Cat Scouts. So many fun memories and photos were shared. Mauricio was so proud to be a Cat Scout and loved spending time with his fellow Scouts. That they thought enough of him to put together such a heartfelt memorial was really special to all of us.
Periwinkle and Stinky are thankful so many joined them and enjoyed their Adventure Tuesday, Visiting/Remembering Mau. If that was your first time accompany these two spunky tabbies on one of their adventures, they hope you will return for future adventures.
Dad Tom and I are thankful we have found something Sawyer will eat (Blue Buffalo Wilderness Duck), at least for the time being. We also are thankful we were able to switch Sawyer’s Keppra prescription to the on-line, compound, pet pharmacy and get tuna-flavored instead of the grape-flavored we have been getting locally.
I am thankful I remembered it was Tuesday on Tuesday and woke up early enough to be one of three First Commenters on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats. I shared First Commenter honors with Mom Sharon (Friends Furever) and Dad Pete (Tomcat Commentary by Tim). But there can only be one First Right Guesser, and that also was me. Woohoo! I got these two badges.

Great Limmerick! We are so happy to help remember Mau. <3 Always
Loved that limerick!
Concats on your double win/honor!
And I bet tuna flavored meds are a lot more interesting to any kitty than grape.Sheesh!
Good thing Sawyer is eating his new noms…Pipo does that, he will let on that he loves something, then after a while, nope I hate that kind, MOL!!
Mau is everyone’s memories forever. ♥
Purrs and hugs to all!
Great poem! Double congrats on the teaser .XO
Tuna would be way yummier than grape flavoured……The limerick was cute and it rhymed….woo hoo.
Tyebe Whisker kiss to Snap
We use compounding pharmacies all the time. So much easier to give meds when they can be made into treats or liquids that taste so much better.
So many wonderful thankful things this week. I hope Sawyer will continue to like the new food. Give him and Cooper Murphy extra smooches today.
We love the adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky. The last post was the best one ever.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and my best to the peeps. ♥
It’s great that you found that med in a better flavor!
I was beyond happy when I discovered a small pharmacy, that would make up meds for Chuck…and they were local. Cutting some of those human-sized pills into bitty bits for a cat is a skill, that only a seasoned pharmacist would have. When The Hubby and I tried it, there was powder…
Those are really nice thankfuls and the Cat Scouts were really sweet. Cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That’s a lot of great things to be thankful for ! We’re glad you found something that Sawyer will eat. Purrs
Your limerick was great!! We’re hoping Sawyer continues to enjoy his food and that he likes the new medicine. We think tuna sounds a lot better too.
The Memory Night for Mau was very special. Everyone loved him and we all miss him.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Angel Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
Lots of thankfuls this Thursday……well done Limerick for poetry day too! We loved this old photo. Mau will be forever missed that’s for sure but hopefully the tinkle of the wind chime will be his “voice” for you when you visit the garden. Concats on TWO badges in class this week – EPIC!!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom
I am glad you were able to get a better flavoured compound for Sawyer. I wouldn’t think grape was very appealing to cats.
Tuna sounds a lot more appetizing than grape to me too!
