Sparks
I know we usually share our thankfuls on Thursday, and Kitties Blue and I will be doing that again this week. I feel extra thankful this week for many reasons and so decided to share a Spark with that sentiment as well. Sawyer, with Christmas gifts from his girlfriend Noelle, is the backdrop for the Spark.
I was unfamiliar with Meister Eckhart and suspect you may not know who he is.
Eckhart von Hochheim (c. 1260 – c. 1328), was commonly known as Meister Eckhart or Eckehart. He was a German theologian, philosopher and mystic and well known for his work with pious lay groups such as the Friends of God. Eckhart came into prominence at a time of increased tensions between monastic orders, diocesan clergy, the Franciscan Order, and Eckhart’s Dominican Order of Preachers. In later life, he was accused of heresy and brought up before the local Franciscan-led Inquisition. Tried as a heretic by Pope John XXII, he seems to have died before his verdict was received.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. When she began Sparks Annie stated, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

Thank you for the story and the reminder to always be thankful. We try to be thankful for something in our house every day.
That’s a great spark. The world needs a whole lot more thankfulness!
Terrific Spark! I love Meister Eckhart and have read some of his writings. They had an impact on my life a year ago. This quote is one of my favorites, Thanks for sharing! Have a marvellously happy day.
That is a great Spark. People don’t say thank you enough.
Great spark ! We heard of Meister Eckhart, but didn’t know he said beautiful things like this. Purrs
That sure is a sweet Spark and we agree!
Being thankful is very important.
A thankful and grateful heart is the way of a happy and balanced life, in my opinion. And it brings sunshine to all whom one might come in contact with.
Powerful Spark!
Thank you for sharing it.
What a beautiful quote, and an interesting story on Eckhart, thanks!
We really like that Spark. It is important to remember that when we get those things that add to our lives, no matter how big or small, they will be enough to help us through
Sawyer,
I would LOVE to!!
paw pats and headbonks,
Noelle
ps – that’s a great Spark!!
Hi Sawyer. You’re looking most handsome today.
Love the Spark and I agree. I didn’t know about the author of the quote until this post. Different times for sure.
I won’t miss Periwinkle and Stinky’s adventure tomorrow.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
I really do like that SPARK….and I believe it’s true. The one thing we ALL should say whenever we can do it is a genuine THANK YOU. Most of us have multiple occasions every day when someone does or says something nice or helpful or does us a favor – we should show how grateful we are by thanking them. I know I don’t know where I’d be if not for the kindness of people in my life and I try to ALWAYS thank them. GREAT SPARK!! I love the photo too of dear Sawyer being thankful for Noelle’s Christmas gifts….
Love, Pam
