Sparks
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort
and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
I have reprinted today’s Spark beneath the photo, as what seemed readable when I created it does not seem to be now.
I particularly like this quote by Martin Luther King Jr., as it reminds us that we must remain responsible and be cognizant of the possible results of our actions. We should do this always, but it is especially important right now. Stay home, stay safe and stay healthy not just for yourself but for all the humans on our planet.
I took this photo in our yard on Saturday. I used it for the Spark, as I thought it might brighten your day.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Mauricio asked me to share a photo of how he spent his easy on Sunday afternoon. It was an unseasonably 81 degrees F, and he was snoozing on a table on the front porch.
If he can raise himself for a moment from his prone position, Mau will be hopping over to the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. To do the same, click on the badge below.
Thank You
Astrid asked me to say, “thanks” to everyone who came by yesterday to wish Sampy (Kitty Cat Chronicles) a happy birthday and join our hop. We always appreciate each and every anipal that joins the hop, and we are are especially thankful when you join us on these joyous occasions.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Tomorrow, our favorite tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, will be off on another adventure. We will be posting the adventure tomorrow, and they have their paws crossed you will join them.
,
Mau you sure are having the best nap ever!
That spark quote is exactly right for the situation we are in right now.
Your tulips are so pretty!
Mau is a cutie. Great spark and I like your gnome 🙂
Love the Spark and Mau is a handsome mancat.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your siblings and your wonderful mom. ♥
Mr. King was a smart man. How nice to see tulips already!
What a beautiful picture of your backyard. The picture signals hope and more glorified sunny days are ahead. King Jr. was so right. It is the hard times that bring out our true natures. I have seen many a change in people since this virus attacked us. Most people are struggling but trying to keep a happy face but there are those and I know some of these people that show the worst side of themselves. Panic is a terrible companion but some are rubbing up against him and their personalities are getting warped. It does no good to panic so let’s try and be positive…..others will follow.

Such a terrific Spark and I hope you enjoy that comfy Mau!
We too had unseasonably warm temps yesterday, then the cold front came along, and it was very windy!
It’s an unprecedented time, and I am grateful to the nurses, doctors, EMTs, police, fire folks, grocery store workers, and all volunteers who are helping us all.
OMC Mau you are so handsome and adorable!! You know what? I am doing the EXACT SAME THING!! I love you so Much
Smoochies and Love,
Allie
ps – Noelle sends paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer and can’t wait for tomorrow.
I love that quote and your garden picture is so cute. Mau looks so comfy. The last couple of days have been so beautiful we finally got out and walked and got ourselves some sunshine, too! Here’s to a safe and healthy week to all.
Looks like Mau found the perfect way to spend a rather warm Sunday afternoon on the porch……Nothing like a little lazy time while we sit and watch our humans TRYING to stay busy at home! Happy Monday and we think that SPARK is PURRFECT for the time just now…………….
Hugs, Teddy
