Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Time for another poem based on an inspiration photo provided by Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats. Here is that photo and my poem.
Magic in The Air
I feel magic in the air.
If I enter this boat, I bet it wold take me there,
To the place where frisky kitties romp and play,
And every day concerns are far, far away.
I need a place like that right now…
No virus, protests or riots, but lots of meows.
I’m on overload from the daily news
And think I could be bolstered by some mews,
With furry kitties cuddling and snuggling me
Until this all goes away and we are free
To go about our normal daily lives,
With our spirits and relationships revived.

Thankful Thursday
In addition to writing a poem each Thursday, Kitties Blue and I join the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian. No matter what is going on in the world or our lives, we always have things for which to be grateful.
Our first thankful is for the 19 days Sawyer had between seizures. Yes, that means he had a seizure. It was Tuesday night, and so the count begins again. We all pray that he will have another long seizure-free spell.
Thankful number two is for Periwinkle, Stinky and Mom’s Certificate of Excellence from the Cat Writers’ Association. They received it for “The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky Part I: Leapin’ Lizards.” Mom was pretty flabbergasted to have the story recognized. She entered it in the Short Story/Flash Fiction category. She’s now in the running for a Muse Medallion. Only one other certificate was awarded in the category, so she has a 50% chance of winning. Regardless, she has no expectation of that happening. We are just super proud of our little tabbies, Stinky and Periwinkle (Friends Furever), and our mom.
Mom got another Firstie badge from Two Spoiled Cats for being one of three first commenters on Teaser Tuesday, along with Friends Furever and Timmy Tom Cat.
Finally, we are thankful for all our friends, followers and supporters. Without you, we would not be here.
To join the blog hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge to go to his blog and enter your link.
We continue to pray that everyone stays safe and healthy.
Many concatulations on the CWA Certificate of Excellence! And many hopes that Sawyer have a long time without a seizure and be well.
will have
Congratulations on your well deserved certificate. I love reading about their adventures. Great poem. XO
That really was a magical poem. We pray dear Sawyer has another long run between seizures too. Big congrats on the CWA honor, that’s super! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Congrats on your CWA Certificate of Excellence! And our paws are crossed that Sawyer has another long spell of being seizure free.
We hope Sawyer has another long gap between seizures. (Is the CBD oil helping, do you think?) And also to Stinky and Periwinkle !

I hope that Sawyer doesn’t have any more seizures ever. I can hope. Loving scritches and lovies to him.
Love that poem. I turned off the news long ago. I’m happy I did. Hubby gives me snippets of what’s going on. That’s more than enough for me.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and especially Sawyer and a hug to the mom. ♥
I won’t watch the news, and I advise The Hubby, when he starts to rant and rave, that I don’t know what he’s talking about and to stop watching that stuff!
Concats on the certificate, and that Sawyer had a long quiet spell.
Great poem!!
We hope Sawyer can continue to have longer periods of time between seizures. We are sooooo proud of your Certificate of Excellence. We know Periwinkle and Stinky are proud too. It’s always pawsome to share the firstie badge with you!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
Congratulations on your certificate.
I am glad Sawyer went longer between seizures, and hope he can go longer still this time.
Lovely poem!
We’re so proud of you for the CWA Certificate of Excellence – well deserved! We’re also loving that poem for this week’s photo challenge…..it’s a most magical photo we think and you captured what’s on ALL of our minds – sanctuary from the craziness – that’s what we see in this photo too!!!! We are hoping and praying as well that Sawyer’s 19 day stretch between seizures is a record he can BEAT….longer intervals between would be PAWSOME.
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)
Awww, your poem is a wonderful sentiment about how to get away from the world’s concerns.
We hope Sawyer will have another long or even longer seizure free time. We are pawyering hard for him.
Congrats on being quick and alert…and even bigger congrats on the CWA award!
