Sparks
Dad Tom took this photo of a male, baby house finch in our back yard. When I saw it, I decided it would make a great background for a Spark. I looked for something about new beginnings but didn’t find anything that “spoke” to me. I found this quote about joy and thought it appropriate. Life is good and improving daily with individuals getting COVID vaccines and our communities opening up a bit more.
Our Spark today comes from Marianne Deborah Williamson. She currently is a columnist for Newsweek magazine. She was hired shortly after suspending her 2020 campaign for the democratic nomination for U.S. President. Williamson is an American author of 13 books. She has received national attention as a result of her frequent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and was known as Oprah’s spiritual adviser. You can find out more about her on Wikipedia.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks,“I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Your favorite, fun-loving tabbies will be sharing another of their adventures tomorrow. Stinky hasn’t given me any clues as to what they’ll be doing, so you’ll need to stop by to check it out for yourselves.

Such a sweet birdie and a nice Spark too!
What a purrfect Spark! We tend to forget about the joy…but we need to focus on it more.
Great spark and photo. XO
Terrific photo and the Spark is wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
Love the quote! Soon the snow will go, the earth will thaw and little signs of spring will come forth. That is how the quote makes me feel…..hopeful.

The Florida Furkids with paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
Years ago, I was weighed down by all that was wrong in my life – all the things I didn’t have (not all material possessions). When Bear had his tumor scare in 2015 – as I was driving home – I thought to myself that if the life I have now is all there is for me … I’m satisfied. That simple change in perspective changed everything. Instead of focusing on the bad – I see the good. Instead of seeing what I don’t have – I see what I do have. We all have struggles – we all have good in our lives – we get to choose which dominates our thoughts and hearts (and joy is the result of choosing good).
It’s that time of year, a time for new beginnings, for rebirth, and the joy of crreation!
That’s a sweet photo of the baby male finch…..maybe already realizing he found a great spot to enjoy a pretty yard like you have? I also like your SPARK – it goes with the Spark I posted today too about worrying…..we have a lot of positives in among the negatives and need to focus on the GOOD. It’s there. It’s everywhere!
Hugs, Pam
That little finch gives joy to me, too! And who couldn’t feel joy at a new birdie generation?!
