Thankful Thursday
Cooper Murphy has a big thankful this week (that actually happened last week). On Remember Me Thursday®, Helen Woodward Animal Center sent out an e-mail reminding people of the special day. They featured Coop’s photo. It was from our Instagram post, so many of you may not have seen it.
The other thankfuls are Mom’s. Not only was she one of three first commenters on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats, but she also was the first right guesser. That’s a pretty big deal. The last time she had a double win was August 3. She got this badge.
Her other thankful involves our dad as well. They went for a nice tandem bike ride yesterday and while they were out, they were able to get their Pfizer vaccine booster shot.
Not a bad week in the way of thankfuls.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Like she does most Thursdays, our mom also wrote a poem for the poetry challenge hosted by Teddy and Angel Sammy from Two Spoiled Cats. here’s the inspiration photo they selected for this week.

The Skillful Waiter
“Order up,” said the cook
And then gave me a devious look,
As he began to lay out plate after plate
Probably expecting me to faint
When I saw all the meals I had to deliver.
I’ll admit it gave me a bit of a shiver
But I just filled up my arms and a tray
And went on my merry way.
I hope the customers give me a nice big tip
For delivering all their meals with just one trip.

A tandem bike…how cool! Good for you both, getting your booster. My hubby got his regular flu shot yesterday. That’s a great poem and fits the picture perfectly.

Oh, so much to be thankful for…all of you, for one. And those who adopt US, they are the BEST. And for the fact that I do NOT have to go on a ferry or in a car right now, even though THEY are going to see little grandanthros! Still….I’ll need big cuddles from y Kitty Whisperer.

Eons ago, my sister and I worked in a deli…and she had made up over 20 party trays…a long tedious job…a customer came in and paid for his tray, and I had to fetch it. Of course it was second to the bottom of the tall stack of boxes filled with trays. I tried to work the box I needed out of there by balancing the rest on my arm and shoulder…but alas the whole thing came crashing own…Big bad oops. My sister was so livid she ripped off her uniform jacket and stomped out of the store to cool off, else she might have killed me…we laugh about it now…LOL, LOL!
