A DIFFERENT TYPE OF TUXIE

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday gives participants the opportunity to use their imaginations. If you haven’t been joining in the fun, check out Two Spoiled Cats (by clicking on the badge at the left) for next week’s inspiration photo.

While there, make certain to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He is a masterful poet, and I can promise you will enjoy his poem. Links to poems by other bloggers can be found in the comments. It’s always fun to see how others viewed the inspiration photo.

Thankful Thursday

In his tuxedo,
Is this penguin pretentious?
No, he’s the butler.

This is definitely an adorable photo, so I have no idea why I couldn’t produce more than a haiku. I spent time yesterday reading about penguins to get some ideas, yet nothing I read helped. After deciding on the haiku, it took me another three hours to come up with the final line. It may have matched the photo better if I had identified the big penguin as the father, teacher or even nanny, but none of the those designations had the same impact.

So, I believe I best move on to this week’s thankfuls.

Thankful Thursday

Each week Kitties Blue and I join the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian.

Though Sawyer had that huge seizure on Friday, I am grateful he doesn’t seem to have any brain damage from his high fever. He has spent most of his time sleeping since coming home Saturday morning, but yesterday he decided to play “springs,” which I found encouraging. He did have another seizure this week, but it was a mild one. That’s a big thankful. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been eating well which means he isn’t getting all his meds. So we are on high alert.

Dad Tom, Sawyer and I are particularly thankful to everyone who has been purring and praying for Sawyer. Your thoughtfulness and support is totally appreciated.

Kitties Blue and I won a badge yesterday for being one of three first commenters on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats. We got this cool badge.

Thank you Teddy and Angel Sammy.
