LONGING FOR HOME & BEST THANKFUL EVER

Thankful Thursday

Dad Tom and I have designated in our will a close friend (with generous compensation) as the caregiver of any cat who is still part of the household when we are both gone. Today, however, I asked Noelle and Raz’s mom, Sharon (Friends Furever), if she would be willing to take Sawyer into her home.  She said, “yes.” Sawyer is overjoyed that should this occur, he will be with his girlfriend, Noelle. According to Mom Sharon, the feeling is reciprocated. So that is the main and most wonderful thankful ever for us. We know he will be loved and get exceptional care.

I also am thankful for the beauty of spring all around our home. Here are a couple of photos.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Thursday also is the day I write a poem for the poetry challenge presented by Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats. This week’s inspiration photo and my poem are below.

Longing for Home

This young woman looks super bored.
Selling candy and cigarettes to strangers
not her idea of a rewarding career.
She’s seen dozens of movies for free,
But she’d rather be on the screen—
An actress in beautiful costumes
With admiring fans applauding her.
She came to Hollywood to be discovered
But found she couldn’t live on dreams.
Iowa or Kansas or wherever she’s from
Is looking pretty good right about now.

While visiting Two Spoiled Cats, please make certain you read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Bridge each week, and it is always a winner.
