BLACK CAT APPRECIATION DAY, SPARKS & AWWW MONDAYS

Sparks

After Sawyer had a particularly bad seizure yesterday, I thought a Spark about resilience would be a good choice for today. And who better to present that Spark than Sawyer with a little backup from big brother Cooper Murphy. (You probably will need to enlarge the photo to read the Spark.)

Dad Tom and I are always amazed that our little whippersnapper continues to bounce back from the frequent seizures; though, it takes a day or two. He only had a five-day respite this time. Of course, that saddens us.

The author of today’s Spark, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist, author and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He died in 2015 at the age of 83.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us continue to believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Awww Mondays

Sawyer and Cooper Murphy are joining the Awww Mondays blog hop hosted by our friend, Sandee, from Comedy Plus. If you would like to participate, click on the badge below.

Black Cat Appreciation Day

Black Cat Appreciation Day

Though, we have not had a black cat in residence for many years, we do love all black panfurs and want to remember and honor the two that were members of the Kitties Blue crew. To learn more about these sisters from different litters, click on The Felines tab at the top of this page.

Birthday Party

Today Lisbeth and Astrid turn nine. Confused about the dates, I thought tomorrow was going to be the 17th and posted yesterday that we would celebrate their birthday tomorrow. So, that is still the plan. Please join us tomorrow for a party in honor of our two girls.
