THE HARBINGER & THANKFULS

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

I skipped last Thursday’s poetry challenge but am back today to join Teddy and Angel Sammy, our hosts from Two Spoiled Cats.

Here is this week’s inspiration photo and my poem.

The Harbinger

A lone, wee flower peeking
Through the cracked pavement,
In a dot of sunlight,
Brings a smile to my face.
Broken dreams, lost loves
Disappointments and failures
Are forgotten, for if this
Single bloom can find its way
Through a fissure, I can
Conquer any obstacle,
Solve any problem and
enjoy a life filled with
gratitude and wellbeing.

He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge, and it is always thoughtful and well-crafted. Other poets leave links to their works in the comments, and you might want to check those out as well.

Thankful Thursday

Sawyer is here to share his thankfuls today and join the Thankful Thursday blog hop at Brian’s Home. Those thankfuls include a 12-day streak without a seizure, this birthday card from Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) as well as the two he shared yesterday. He’s also grateful to all who attended his third birthday party and left their kind words and well wishes.

Dad Tom and I are thankful that we, our friends and family remain healthy. We are particularly thankful that we live in a state and area (southwest Virginia) where cases of and deaths from COVID-19 remain low. Nonetheless, we remain careful and vigilant. We pray you are doing the same and  remain healthy.

If you’d like to participate in the Thankful Thursday blog hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge below.
