WE WERE FIRST!

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Each week we look forward to joining our friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy, for their poetry day. They provide an inspiration photo to fuel our imaginations. Here’s this week’s photo.

Though this looks like fun and I am an excellent swimmer, I think I would be panicked like the young girl in the front of the raft. That feeling is the basis for the haiku I wrote.

Wonder what I would do
If I was part of this crew?
Bail before the trip!

If you’d like to participate on Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, check out Two Spoiled Cats (click on the badge below) today for next week’s inspiration photo. While you are there check out the poem Sammy will have transmitted from the Rainbow Bridge. I guarantee it will be a masterpiece.

Thankful Thursday

Kitties Blue and I also like to tell you for what we are thankful each week and join Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop.

This week, we are delighted to win the brand new “First Commenter” badge on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats. What’s even more special is that we are the ONLY ones to receive it. We also got a “Right Guesser” badge. We weren’t first to guess correctly. That honor went to Timmy Tomcat, but nonetheless we knew the locale.

Dad Tom and I are both thankful that our construction project is back on track after another delay. Two weeks ago the contractor discovered the elevations did not match from the house to the addition. The new living quarters had to be removed from the garage below, jacked up two inches and reattached. Yikes!

We do have another thankful with regard to the construction. Yesterday I found an exact match to our antique pocket door hardware on eBay. As our house is 105 years old, this was an amazing find. Not only does it match, but it’s not reproduction!

Every single day, Kitties Blue and I are grateful for the friendship and support of our fellow bloggers. Thank you!

Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s pal, Brian. To join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge.
