ANNUAL ROUND-UP, THANKFULS & A POEM

Thankful Thursday

Thankful ThursdayOur thankful this week is another one of those silver lining things.

Today is our annual round-up. Dr. Neel arrives at 9 a.m. for our yearly exams and vaccinations. Granted, we sure don’t like that, but we like it better than being dragged across town to the vet hospital. As soon as Dr. Neel finishes with each of us, we’ll be released to the catio and receive some treats. It’s all easy peasy, except for the pawticure part, which none of us enjoy.

So that is our silver lining thankful: We have to be poked and prodded, but it is going to be at home.

We’ll let you know how everything turns out in a future post.

We also do have a real thankful. That’s a photo of our new cat tree for the catio. Another new tree is in the basement. It’s for the bedroom when the addition is completed.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop. To participate in the hop, post for what you are thankful on your blog and then click on the badge at the left to go to the hop.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Apology or Plea?

Relationships aren’t always easy.
Sometimes love isn’t enough.
Explanation may seem more like excuse;
Forgiveness too difficult to grant.
Maybe these two will work things out.
She may decide what’s made her mad
Is trivial and not worth fighting about.
But he may decide she’s too stubborn—
Not worth his time and effort, but
Maybe they will decide to compromise.
And they will return to this same table
Year after year on their anniversary.

Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats) provided the photo above as inspiration for this week’s poetry. And Sammy will have transmitted his poem to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge. Whether or not you want to participate by writing a poem of your own, checking out Sammy’s poem is always a must. He’s a master of the craft. And if you have the time, check the comments on his poetry post for links to the poetry by other bloggers. To visit Two Spoiled Cats, click on the badge below.
