SPARKS OF ACTION & COURAGE

Sparks

Sparks - Jules Renard - action

Unlike these birds, don’t sit around waiting for what you want. Put on your big girl/guy panties and go out and get it!

Today’s quote is from Pierre-Jules Renard or Jules Renard, who lived from 1864 to 1910. Renard was a French author and member of the Académie Goncourt. He wrote poems, short stories, short plays, novels and his famous Poil de carotte (Carrot Top, 1894).

This is another of Dad Tom’s photos. The squirrels and birds are a constant source of entertainment not just for the kitties but also for Dad Tom and me.

Today I am including an additional quote/Spark from Senator John McCain (August 29, 1936 – August 25, 2018). Regardless of your political party, I think you can admit he was a great American and hero who always had the best interests of our country and people at heart.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but the capacity to act despite our fears.”

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie currently is on a well-deserved “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. However, many of us continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we totally agree with Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
