This female cardinal was sitting on one of our bird feeders when it was snowing two weeks ago. Tom snapped her photo. You can see the sunflower seed in her beak.
To create this art, I used Ribbet, followed by LunaPic to add the beveled edge, and then Picasa for the drop-shadow border.

So tomorrow is a big day for football fans with the Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. For all of the animal lovers, we get the Puppy and Kitten bowls. But it’s also a big day at The Cat on My Head. That’s right…it’s our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.
We hope you’ll take some time to snap a selfie and join us prior to the start of all the football hoopla and hysteria. None of the Kitties Blue have come forward to volunteer to share their fuzzy face. Guess it will be a surprise.
See ya’ll tomorrow.
How interesting! Cardinals are quite photogenic!
Neat effect! I looks like we are looking at the cardinal through one of those square blurry glass window things that are used in bathrooms all the time time.
Sampy sends 20349852309457 kisses to Astrid, and we all send lots of love!!
Great job on that photo! I think the female cardinals are as beautiful as the males in their own way, don’t you? I love their bright beaks and splashes of red.
Beautiful art!

We love the photo of that cardinal, and your beautiful transformational artwork, too. 🙂
Whoa! That looks like a 3D light box. TW’s old BF used to make those.
bootiful!
Very pretty photo and art. We will be here for selfie Sunday.
What a cool shot!!! I just love how clearly you can see the seed in her beak MOL!
Love how you transformed that photo, it looks fantastic!
We don’t have cardinals here. Yours is beautiful. We’ll be watching the Kitten Bowl.
That’s a great shot of the cardinal.
We love the photo! You kits have some great bird tv!
That is a good effect. It is like looking through a frosted window.
Beautiful bird, and cool effect ! Purrs
That is darn fancy and very pretty too!
I love this image. Cardinals are so beautiful, and I love how you made this one even more so! As for the Super Bowl, I’m honestly not a fan. But, I am a huge fan of the Kitten and Puppy Bowls!
One of my Mom’s FAVORITE sights is Cardinals at our bird feeders in the snow……the red on the white – what a sight (say…I’m a poet!).
Love, Sammy
We just love the way you share all your art effects so our human who thinks she knows it all can learn and grow. We never used ribbet before but looks like a winner. We love the girly cardinal and would like to EAT HER UP! (Literally).
That is so cool!!!
That is very cool!
What a lovely little bird that is. Great picture entry, we love the semi obscured imagry. Purrs Erin
