Sunday Selfies: Week 102
As I stated in yesterday’s post, we are having guests for your hosts today.
Meet the two groundhogs who come everyday to eat the sunflower seeds the birds drop from the feeder. They make for very interesting TV for Kitties Blue and we humans as well. I think they are pretty darn adorable, but I am mad at them this summer. They mowed down all my sunflowers except two that the squirrels dropped in hanging planters. They also ate all my Rudbekia and have been nibbling their way through one of my sweet potato plants. Next year I will be reading up to find out what plants they won’t eat.
This is our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. The kitties and I are so appreciative of all who continue to hop each week as well as all those who comment. The link to add your selfie is below as well as the code to add the hop to your blog. If you do the latter, will you please link back to The Cat on My Head and/or display our badge.
Blogoversary Giveaway
If you missed our Thursday post, we are celebrating our Fourth Blogoversary with a giveaway of goodies from the BlogPaws Conference. To have the opportunity to win the surprise package, leave a comment here by Monday, July 25, at 5 p.m. ET. The winner will be selected using Random.org.
Allie‘s and Mau’s Wedding
Yesterday was the big day at Cat Scouts. I know Mauricio is excited to tell you all about the most glorious day. However, he and Allie have left on their honeymoon, and you will have to wait a few days for him to share. I will say, that it was an incredibly beautiful ceremony officiated by Denmaster Karen. Mauricio has given me permission to share one photo with you now.
Once again, please forgive the kitties and me for not making it around to visit and comment. Our lives should be back to normal by Monday, and we will start making the rounds. Thanks for sticking with and standing by us.
Have an easy weekend.
Thank you for the kind words on my blog post. They are giving me some horrible tasting medicine that they say might make me stronger. Yuck!
Thanks again for the purrrs.
Moses

Hello Darling Misty May! I loved being with you yesterday XOXOXO
Also, conga-rats on your 4th Blogoversary-you have a wonderful blog! So where did Mau and Allie go??? Maybe they’re out there chasing down those groundhogs??
those ground hogs are too cute! Our squirrels clean up everything the birdies don’t want. Sorry to be so late to join the hop. Dad Dave is not well at all. Cuzin Leo will need a foster we think…leaky eyes here
Congratulations, Allie and Mauricio 🙂 I can see why the groundhogs garner such attention and interest in your house!

Nice groundhogs selfie ! Concatulations, it looks like you had a wonderful wedding. Purrs
Groundhogs! We don’t have anything huge like that over here. We have to make do with the pesky squirrels. But they can also be quite destructive. My squirrels eat my strawberries and tomatoes!
Jean from Welcome to the Menagerie
I LOVE THOSE CUTE GROUNDHOGS!! Do they tell you when spring is coming each year?
The wedding of Mau and Allie at the Arrowhead Lodge was the event of the year. I laughed and cried but was very happy for our bride and groom.

What a very pawsome couple of neighbors you all have!!

Congrats to Mau and Allie. Goodness another young lady in the home Mau and Dad have to follow a lot of orders MOL
Thanks for another great Sunday Selfie
What a beautiful wedding it must have been! We can’t wait to hear more about it. As for this adorable selfie, we’re sorry these little visitors are eating your garden. But, they sure are cute!
Wow ground hogs! How interesting for us but how irritating for our humans!
Great photo of Allie and Mau!
Thank you for always bringing us Sunday Selfies!
We love your guest hosts!! Happy belated Blogoversary!! Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang
The groundhogs look cute, but it is not good that they are eating all your plants!
What kool furry beings they are. I’ve seen skunks, foxes and opossums but never ground hogs. Thanks for sharing the great photo of them.
The wedding yesterday was wonderful and I so enjoyed spending time with my love Ms Lisbeth. To top it off a great day……. my sweetie caught the bridal bouquet.
I hope Mau and Allie enjoy their time away and get a chance to relax.
Purrs to all and a billion Nose Kisses to my love.

Groundhog TV would be fun to watch but not fun if they are destructive.
We had a blast at the wedding. Mom here says she is pooped!
The Florida Furkids (since Allie is on her honeymoon with Mau she’ll send her smoochies to him in purrson!)
Wow! We’ve never had Groundhog TV to watch. Our problem this year has been with the bunnies and deers, ‘specially the deers. They have eaten all of the mom’s hosta plants and they eat some of the flowers too.
Very cute guest selfies, sorry they are eating your sweet potatoes though. I think Sammy’s Mom grows them in a container, maybe that would keep them away? My Sammy showed me wedding photos and they were all beautiful. This is a great photo of the couple with their moms. XO
Well hello there, groundhogs! Can’t wait to hear all about the wedding and honeymoon!
Goodness, Groundhog Day already! Love the wedding photo too!
Oh, the groundhogs are super cute. We don’t have those guys in our area, but the squirrels take care of the sunflowers.
Happy fourth Blogoversary!
Groundhogs are adorable!! Can’t wait to hear more about the wedding!
The groundhogs are so cute. We would love to have them around, to entertain me and Granny too…except of the eating-it-all in return 😀 The wedding picture is lovely, Mau and Allie. We wanted to bring you purrsonal good wishes, but the link doesn’t bring us there. Pawkisses for a wonderful day with lots of happiness 🙂 <3
Sorry for posting twice. Looks like I posted the wrong link again. I’ll try again later 🙂
Feel free to delete links 17 and 18. Sorry for any confusion 🙂
There are groundhogs around here too but only one that I regularly see – he’s a big guy too! He hangs out in our neighbors yard mostly……he has a lot of woods to explore all around here and I’m sure he has a family “somewhere”……We’ve not seen him munching on the sunflower seeds the squirrels leave behind from our bird feeders after they raid them though. My selfie today is in honor of the wedding which was SO wonderful -I hope the happy couple is enjoying a break after all the hubbub of the ceremony!
Hugs, Sammy
Don’t think we get groundhogs here!
Congrats on the wedding!
Purrs xx

I have never seen groundhogs before but they look very cute. Concats to Mau and Allie.
I guess they are called groundHOGs for a reason!
Concats to the wedded couple! May they have happy bliss each and evfurry day!
Those ground hogs look familiar, MOL! We have some here too…but so far only bugs are chewing up my patio plants and garden. Last year somefur back in our woodsy are chewed up all my red poppies, and purple coneflowers.
They like my wild asparagus too, so I guess I should not plant the real kind…and this is with a fenced yard, woe is us if we didn’t have that!
Sorry we missed doing a selfie last week…the furst time we have missed…sigh…we should be back with one this week though.
I first thought what strange looking cats, and then I saw these cute critters ! I have never seen them other then in a zoo ! A pity that they eat your plants, but they look so cute, I have snails here that’s worse !
I don’t have Ground Hogs on the estate just a much smaller relative called a Hedge Hog, and they are far more affable even with the spines, and just eat all the grubs and bad stuff. Happy Sunday Selfie
Awww sorry your visitors enjoy eating your garden but they are too cute,And Congratulations to Mau and Allie on their wedding,xx Speedy and Rachel
Oh how very cool – happy Selfie Sunday to you!
PS Csn’t you put little wrie wrapped fences around, so they don’t nibble stuff?
We made it, a new blog look and time for a selfie before our next BlogPaws report!
Love to Fiona and everyone!
How interesting – we don’t gots those critters here!
We haven’t ever seen groundhogs! What fun tv!
Gus, Pearl, and Jaq
Concats to Allie and Mau and we love the groundhogs! They are much more interesting than anything we have here.
Have an easy Sunday, kittehz.
XOXO
oooooooh…those groundhogs can be a total PITA, says Mommy! You want to know what she did back in Illinois? She put our POOP down their burrow holes and they moved out toot sweet. Worth a try…
And CONCATULATIONS to Allie and Mau!!!!
We love groundhogs, but we understand your displeasure with them for feasting on your plants and noms. 🙁
The wedding picture with Allie and Mau, and you moms, is pawsome! Everyone looks so happy!
Big hugs, and thank you for hosting the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop!
