Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Every Thursday, our dear friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy from Two Spoiled Cats, give us the opportunity to interpret a photo through poetry. This week’s photo is especially beautiful, and I know my itty bitty poem doesn’t do it justice But for me, it expresses what I feel.
Heaven
If I gaze steadily and concentrate,
I can see my beginning and my end
And all those I’ve loved and lost,
Deep within these celestial rays.
I wonder when we will meet again?

Sammy writes a poem each week and transmits it from the Rainbow Bridge. He is a talented poet, and you will definitely want to read what he’s written with reference to this photo. Thankful Thursday
We also like to list our “thankfuls” each week and share them on a blog hop hosted by Brian. Our big thankful today is that Sawyer has not had a seizure in 12 days. I am praying that by writing this I am not jinxing our little fellow. He’s gotten wise to the fact that we are putting medication in his food and often leaves some behind. When he does this, he gets an extra spoonful of stinky goodness. As I have said often in other posts, “Cats are opportunists.”
Also this week Dad Tom and I are grateful for all the kind comments and good wishes as we celebrated our 45th anniversary.
To join the blog hop, just list for what you are grateful on your blog and then click on Brian’s badge below to be transported to his blog where you can share.
Hooray for being seizure free, Sawyer. Purrs for that to remain so…and be a good boy and gobble up all your noms:)
You may have read this on other blogs, but here is my poem for this picture, written years ago… when I saw that picture I right away thought of a poem I composed when I was in 10th grade…eons ago, about the age of 14 maybe 15. I had just heard that my Opa had passed away and was standing outside on a very dark and clouded day…
Petcretary wrote a poem for a real sky like that once…
Inspiration
I saw the Heavens open once,
God’s glory was in view.
Twas though a thousand lights were lit,
But God shines bright, I knew.
Each cloud then slowly disappeared,
And all the Heavens I saw.
Twas then I realized all God does,
Is done without one flaw.

Healing purrs for Sawyer, we hope the seizure monster is gone for good.
Hooray for Sawyer! That is a nice inspiring photo.
Great news for Sawyer. Very smart of him to hold out for a bit more food to help the medicine go down.
Beautiful poem. Mom wonders that too. We’ve got our paws crossed that Sawyer stays seizure-free.

I love your “vision” within the photo – and I kind of knew when we posted it last week there would be some great poetry produced! I love it……….I think we all saw in different ways “a little piece of beyond” and it’s fun reading everyone’s poems. Thanks for being part of it. We are also VERY THANKFUL that our pal Sawyer has been seizure-free and we pray every day he continues to be………hopefully he is outgrowing the problem………….
Hugs all around!!
