TASTE OF SUMMER

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Our poem is a bit silly today, and when we show you the inspiration photo, we think you’ll know why.

A taste of Summer at the zoo.

A Taste of Summer

Watermelon is a summer staple.
We often see it on our humans’ table.
Watermelon is juicy and super sweet
And a favorite summertime treat.
A watermelon snocone is refreshing,
And on a hot day, thirst quenching.
Spitting watermelon seeds is always fun
While lying on one’s back in the sun.
All types of things have watermelon flavor
That in wintertime you can enjoy and savor.
Even these primates lounging at the zoo
Seem to be enjoying some watermelon too!

Thankful Thursday

We are joining this blog hop hosted by Brian. Our thankful this week is that Sawyer is being better about taking his new meds. And he has not had any type of seizure in three days.

Unfortunately for Sawyer, his meds are very sedating. But he does have a great dangle!

As to Misty May and her corneal ulcer, she is opening her eye just a bit. She has an appointment for a recheck this morning.

Thanks for all the purrs and prayers for both of these Kitties Blue.
