COOPER SUNFLOWER MURPHY

Caturday Art

Today’s art was created using one of Dad Tom’s photos of a sunflower in our backyard and a photo of Cooper Murphy. I used PicMonkey to create it. Though it didn’t turn out like I wanted, I still like it. I hope you do as well.

Cooper is participating in the Caturday Art blog hop hosted by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. To join him and/or check out Athena’s art and that of other bloggers, click on her badge.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Smile…it’s selfie time! We invite you to share your adorableness with us and all your friends on tomorrow’s blog hop. Once you have finished snapping your photo, you have the entire day to take your easy. Kitties Blue and I totally appreciate each one of you who hop with us. And if you have never shared your selfie with us, why not give it a try tomorrow. Hopping is one of the best ways to meet and make new friends.

See you Sunday!

CATIO NAPS & BATHS

Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #212

When I saw the fill-ins for this week, my brain went blank. So, I decided to show them to the Kitties Blue crew and see if one or more of them wanted to tackle completing the sentences. Sawyer took one look and raised his paw to volunteer. Boy was I relieved.

Sawyer selected blue italics to fill-in. Explanatory info is in parentheses.

1. June is a good month to nap on the catio as well as watch the busy birds and squirrels.

2. I love to play with Calista Jo, but she never wants to play with me. (She hisses and growls and sometimes will swat at me.)

3. I’m not ashamed to admit I like treats. (Of course, you already know this.)

4. I’d rather not have any more seizures. (I had a seizure Wednesday evening, which was eight days since the last one. That’s really not too bad.)

Friendly Fill-Ins is co-hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). The sentences to be filled in are posted on both blogs on Thursday. The blog hop can be found at Four-Legged Furballs on Fridays. To go there and enter your link, click on the Fill-Ins badge.

Feline Friday

Do your cats lie on the table and bathe? In Cooper Murphy’s defense, this table is on the catio, and we had finished lunch. We lost control so long ago, we have given up trying to wrestle it back. I suspect we are not alone in this respect.

Cooper Murphy and his tongue are joining the Feline Friday bog hop at Comedy Plus. Should you like to participate or find links to other Feline Friday posts, click on the Feline Friday badge.

BUILDING BLOWS ITS TOP; MAU & COOP GRADUATE FROM CSU

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

If it’s Thursday, that means it is poetry day. We are joining our good friends from Two Spoiled Cats, Teddy and Angel Sammy, who host this fun event. They provide an inspiration photo as the jumping off place for our imaginations and poems. This week’s photo, which was provided to the boys by Little Binky and her granny, is a doozy.

I had a difficult time writing a poem that does this photo blooper justice, and I know it’s not my best effort. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Headline: Building Blows It’s Top

Looks like this building blew its top
Or did it grow gaseous and pop?
Can we put it together again
Or is that a dream we can’t attain?
The residents on the upper floors
Are stuck behind their closed doors
And must crawl out their windows.
If it can be put right, we’ll be heroes.
But I fear this building’s fate is sealed,
And it’s too far gone to be healed.

If you’d like to participate in the weekly poetry challenge, you can find the photo for next week over at Two Spoiled Cats. Just click on the badge above. While visiting, check out Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge. He writes incredibly terrific poems, and we know you’ll enjoy reading it. You will also find links to poems by other bloggers in the Comments section.

Thankful Thursday

Mau and Cooper Murphy are thankful to have completed all the requirements to graduate with honors from Cat Scout University. Dad Tom and I are super proud of them!

Mom is thankful she is finally getting to see two of her friends this week. This is the first time in four months she has seen any friends in person. She’s happy they all followed the rules and remained healthy, so they can now get together.

We all are thankful that our friends and family remain virus free. Please follow the guidelines of your state and the CDC and stay healthy. You are important to us.

Brian is the host of the Thankful Thursday blog hop. To take part, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on Brian’s badge to go to his blog and enter the link to your post.

A SPARK OF HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Sparks

I am frustrated and feel as if I am living in a surreal place in time and space. I suspect many of you are feeling the same.

When I found this quote from our past President, it said what I want to believe. With our current administration, however, I don’t see a stronger country or much of a future for any of us. Right now I just want to get to the other side of the riots and virus.

I am trying to keep a positive attitude and believe in today’s Spark.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!

Awww Mondays

When Calista Jo shared her selfie yesterday, what she didn’t share was that another kitty was sharing the catio with her. Her companion, however, had no idea she was snapping photos. I thought the two were pretty awwwdorable, and so am sharing them today.

COOPER MURPHY’S PAPER BAG SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #303

I was enjoying the catio with some of my fursibs when Dad gave us a paper bag. I was the first one to claim it. Sawyer jealously looked on, but I stayed right where I was. I decided it was the purrfect place to take a selfie.

Now it is your turn to share your selfie with us and all your admirers. When you are done you can have a nice easy, which is what I’ll be doing.

A Few Reminders: It is not necessary to post on Sunday to join our hop. You can link up any time through Thursday. You also do not need to be a feline to join us. All anipals are welcome regardless of species. Finally, if you can link your post back to ours and/or display our selfie badge, that would make all the Kitties Blue very happy.

Finally, thank you for joining us. Whether you are a regular selfie hopper or a newcomer, we totally appreciate your purrticipation.

Purrs and paw-pats, Cooper Murphy (with whisker kisses for Tyebe)

GINGERY GOODNESS SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #302

Back in March a photo session with Cooper Murphy and the peacock feather netted about 15 photos. He has shared a few of the others. When none of the Kitties Blue, including him, volunteered to do a selfie for today, Cooper offered another feather photo for your viewing pleasure.

Sunday Selfies

I’ve got to admit, Cooper is a pretty cute guy.

Hop Time

Cooper invites you to join him on the Sunday Selfies blog hop. You don’t need to post today to participate. The hop remains open through Thursday. So put on your best smile, snap that selfie and share it here with your throngs of admirers. Remember, you do not need to be a feline to take part. All anipals are welcome regardless of species.

Kitties Blue and I are grateful for all our regular hoppers and those who may be new to doing Sunday Selfies. Thank you.

CATURDAY CATIO COMRADES

Caturday Art

Yesterday was warm and sunny, and Kitties Blue and I spent the afternoon enjoying the catio. That’s when I caught this photo of double-decker cats, Cooper Murphy and Calista Jo.

To artify it, I went back to my favorite app, Painnt, and used the Cordie effect. I dded the flowers in the lower corner with piZap, to cover the Painnt logo and made a drop shadow frame with Picasa.

Cooper and C.J. are popping over to the Caturay Art blog hop hosted by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. If you’d like to join in the fun, click on Athena’s badge.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

So Kitties Blue and I know you don’t need a reminder about tomorrow’s blog hop, but we have a habit of giving you one anyway. And this is it. Please join us tomorrow. All anipals are always welcome regardless of species. And tomorrow we will be having a guest host, which always makes the permanent residents happy.

We sure appreciate all of you who joined last Sunday for the 300th week of our hop. Please come back again tomorrow and invite some friends to join you.

Until then…stay safe and healthy. Just because your state may be “opening” for something like business as usual does not mean you need to participate. Please be careful and cautious!

If you missed yesterday’s installment of “The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky,” click on the link below. They had fun writing limericks about their fursibs, and the rhymes should give you a good laugh. I know we all can use more than a few laughs right now.
