Sparks: Week 6
I am featuring another of Dad Tom’s photos. It was taken at sunrise on the Highland Scenic Highway, West Virginia.
Sir Bernard Arthur Owen Williams, FBA was born September 21, 1929 and died June 10, 2003 in Rome. He was an English moral philosopher. His publications include Problems of the Self (1973), Ethics and the Limits of Philosophy (1985), Shame and Necessity (1993) and Truth and Truthfulness (2002). He was knighted in 1999.
As Knightbridge Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and Deutsch Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley, Williams became known for his efforts to reorient the study of moral philosophy to psychology, history, and in particular to the Greeks.
This is a blog hop established and hosted by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). In starting this hop, Annie said, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

What an incredible photo! Sunrises are so special… they remind us of new opportunities and that each day we have a new chance to change… Love the post!

Although I’m rarely able to sit an watch a sunrise, I agree! A sunrise reminds us that it’s a new day…with new opportunities! Each sunrise is a reminder that we have “do-overs”! This is a gorgeous capture. Thank you for sharing!
This is so very true. I’ve eliminated much of the negative from my life even before Annie started this wonderful meme. It sure has made a huge difference in how much better I feel. The sunrise does wash away so many things.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
What a beautiful photo! Wonderful quote too! thanks a lot for sharing
Yes. I agree so much with these Sparks. Hope is in every sunrise. Beautiful photo and quote. Thank you for being a part of Sparks.
My Internet connection is still very unstable and off as much as it is on. I have lost drafts and things that were scheduled have been corrupted. It is my connection. I just need them to get it fixed, once and for all. This started at Mother’s Day. *augh*
What a beautiful photo! Wonderful quote too! We’ll have to remember that on the days the news makes us feel hopeless. 🙁
That’s a goodie, we like!
Very inspirational…thank you!
Yet another beautiful quote paired with a beautiful photograph. Stunning!
What a great quote. Mom will keep this handy when she’s down.

What a gorgeous photo from Mr. Tom and you have put the perfect quote with it – Mom always says when the sun comes up it is another chance to make a perfectly happy day.
Hugs, Teddy
