Sparks
Sawyer selected today’s Spark and the Happy Color picture to present with it. He had planned to share it with you himself, but is resting after a a relatively short, gran mal seizure. So I am posting for him.
Sawyer, Dad Tom and I were overwhelmed once again by the love and support expressed in the comments on yesterday’s post. Thank you so much.
If you are unfamiliar, as we were, with the author of today’s Spark, here’s a little bit of information about her.
Grace Gealey (Byers) is an American actress. She was born in Pennsylvania but raised in the Cayman Islands from infancy. She knows sign language due to having deaf parents. After moving to the U.S., she received her bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts at the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Master’s of Fine Arts in acting from the University of California, Irvine.
Byers is the author of a children’s book entitled, I Am Enough, based on her experiences of being bullied as a child for having deaf parents. She wrote the book to empower children to love and accept themselves.
She currently is a member of the cast of the Fox television drama, Empire.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie has been taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Unfortunately, during this break, Annie has been the victim of a hacker. This has continued to keep her off-line and caused her much distress. Please continue to send prayers to Annie and her family as they work to get their lives back to normal.
Many of us believe in Annie’s vision: “If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Card from Friends
Sawyer received this adorable card from the thoughtful Pipo, Dalton, Benji and their mom, Ingrid (Meezer’s Mews and Terrieristical Woofs). He asked me to share it with you and thank them.

That is a great spark! I love the card that Pipo’s mom made too. XO
I luv that spark! Sawyer is a lil’ spark himself, ’cause he is courageous and brave. Hugs and kisses for him.
Our bloggy friends are as close to us as our own cats!
Sawyer, you sure have been through a lot. We continue to purr for you and your mom and dad too. We know they are very worried about you.
Saawyer, that is a beautiful Spark ! We hope you have a good rest and are soon up and around to send us the nest one ! Purrayers and POTP continue !
We know that keeping the bow towards the sun can be difficult and we are awed by your ability to do that. We love Sawyer and keep you all in our purrs and prayers. Thank you for helping us to continue in our own struggles
You are all so brave, we are amazed at your strength and love – stay strong, we’re sending all the healing purrs and prayers we can to you and your sweet Sawyer.
What a lovely spark – thanks.
Sawyer, we hope you are resting well after your seizure. We all here at the office are always thinking about you. That card is just really sweet. See you soon. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
We think about you dear Sawyer pretty much all of our awake times and we do dream of you having many seizure-free days pal. We love you Sawyer.
I wasn’t around much this weekend. When we cruise our time is pretty much taken up. You should know that I continued to pray for Sawyer and think about him often. I love him and Cooper Murphy so very much.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday, Sawyer. My best to your peeps. ♥
We’re sorry to hear that Sawyer had another GM but glad it was a short one. We’re always purring and praying for him. Noelle wants to know if he would like her to teleport over to snuggle with him.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
So sad about Sawyer having another gran mal…..we’re doubling up on POTP and prayers…..that beautiful graphic and SPARK are fabulous. The kitty looks like Cooper all curled up having a snooze. Have a nice Monday – full of gratitude – we are “here” another day.
Hugs, Teddy
On the top of that cartload is a doctor’s satchel, hope you do not need the meds in there, but if you do we add our blessings to them to help them work the better.
That spark is so very true! It should be taught to all, from a young age…and practiced to the max!
