Doozy of a Snoozy
In a previous post showing Mauricio and Cooper Murphy snuggling and touching paws, I asked if it was a Burgeoning Bromance or Accidental Encounter. Well a bromance it is not, but the boys are getting closer—at least while they are snoozing. And less ear and neck biting and smacky paws are happening. Before I snapped the following photos both Cooper and Mau took the opportunity to touch each other on the head a couple of times. The taps were tentative and light with no malice. Progress!
I did not add that mouse for cuter, more “squeeable” photos. It was already on the bed, and the boys ended up curling up around it.
Cooper rarely sleeps on our bed. If he does join us, it is usually only for an hour or two and then he retreats to his bedroom ham-mick. Some nights he doesn’t even come upstairs. Instead he sleeps on one of the ham-micks in the dining room. I really miss him on those nights, as I enjoy watching him sleep. He’s usually on his back with legs akimbo and just as cute as can be.
Feeling Puny
Mauricio is not feeling well. He did not eat his dinner Sunday night or last night and only a couple of bites of breakfast yesterday. I offered him some kibble and Temptations mid-day, but he turned them down. He’s been curled up in a ball most of the day with his head buried in his paws. He got really hissy when I picked him up and tried to hold him. I’ve checked him over as best I can and cannot find any external clues as to what is going on with him. Just as I am finishing up this post, he ate a few Temptations, but if he doesn’t eat his breakfast, I’ll be taking him to see Dr. Neel.
I know a trip to the vet will really make him extra grouchy. If you can say a few prayers and send some POTP that he’ll perk up, start eating and acting like himself, Mau, Dad Tom and I would be most grateful.
With many thanks.
Those sure are exquisite squee pictures!
We are purring that Mau will not be too ill, and that he will feel much better soon. Sending much POTP.
Lots of purrs and wishes are sent to Mau and and his mom and dad. When we are not feeling good, the whole household is upset. We are hoping its just one of those bugs that will disappear quickly. We love ya Mau!
Shoko and Kali
OMC……POTP and loads of purrs from my fur sib for my buddy Mau. We all sometimes have tummy issues and don’t want to eat. Praying Mau is eating by now.
Sending love to all and a zillion kisses to my love Ms. Lisbeth,
Scout Charles and family
Sounds like Mau has a tummy thing going on. I’m sending some healing purrz. He should take two and call me in the a.m.
I will be praying for Mau. XO
Allie is sending big healing purrs to her husband Mauricio. She loves that he has a guy pal to hang around with now.
The Florida Furkids
Purrrs & POTP for Mau ! Hope things get back to normal ASAP !
Aw, Cooper Murphy and Mau look so comfortable there together. Definitely a bromance in the making.
We send a ton of purrs to Mau and hope it’s nothing serious. Please keep us posted.
Purrs and prayers are coming for Mauricio – poor baby. We hope everything will be okay and he just has a little upset tummy for the day. We love, love, love the picture of the two other kitties cuddling. I sometimes wish I had a sisfur (other than human) or a brovver to cuddle with. M is going awwwww over that picture.
These are two cute photos. Mauricio sweetheart you are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Hope all’s well, that you’re just not hungry.
Boys are so different. George is not a cuddler; never was. But, neither is Grizelda. They are sweet and smart, though. Maggie loves to cuddle, but Chloe Jo is my real cuddler.
I am sending prayers for Mauricio. It sounds like he may be in pain, and that concerns me. I am glad he has Cooper to be a pal. HUGS.

the photo is darling and sending purrs to Mauricio…hopefully it is just a passing thing.
They look so sweet together. Definitely sending prayers that Mau is okay and that whatever is ailing can be easily taken care of with a complete and full recovery. So precious. <3
Aww … those two cuddled up like that made my day … it doesn’t get better than that! Such handsome mancats! Sending love and purrs for healing for Mau.
We are sending lots and lots of purrs and prayers to Mauricio. Feel better, handsome boy! Oh, and also, that is the cutest bromance we’ve ever seen.
We are sending a pile of POTP to Mau and will be anxiously awaiting news this morning – either he’s his “old self” this morning OR off to the vet to figure out what’s up! As for those photos of “The Coop” and Mau – NOTHING could be more adorable than those boys having a brotherly snooze-fest! Mom thinks they look PERFECTLY CONTENT!
Love, Teddy
Hoping Mau will perk up. What a sweet pic. Hoping you guys will continue to snuggle. Do you think CM is using the mouse for protection?? MOL. Or maybe he is comforting Mau. Purrs to you, Mau.
We used to sleep close together often but now we only sleep close when our human is between us. She is trying to get us to sleep together other times but we prefer it when she’s a buffer.
We hope Mau will get over his lack of food and expect he will soon be eating everything in sight!
Just in time to bring Healing Pawkisses for Mauricio and a few light tummy rubs. Hope you feel better soon <3 <3 <3
The picture of you two…three is very cute and I also wanted to thank you for reading my interview on Mousebreath. You get an Extra Pawkiss for that as we know it was a long read 😀 <3
I’m sending lots of purrs to Mau – I hope he’s okay!
Praying and sending prayers your way for Mauricio, also pray for the vet that he or she has divine wisdom if you take Mauricio to them for a check up. Know how hard this is…my heart and prayers are with you…God Bless Mauricio!
I am praying…know how hard this is…so praying that Mauricio feels much better overnight and if not I pray that the vet, dr., will have wisdom to know what is going on…keep us posted…big hugs and kitty loves too…
