SAWYER’S PROMISE NOT TO GIVE UP

Sparks

Sawyer's Promise

I promise I am not taking over the blog, but Mom wanted me to present our Spark today. At 3:20 a.m. yesterday, I had another seizure that would not stop. I’m too tired to give you all the details, but I did end up at the emergency vet. It took a lot more medicine (including propofol) to get my seizure under control this time. That was my third grand mal seizure in 11 days. Now I have two shaved legs. Not my best look.

I only stayed at emergency for six hours this time and am resting at home, as you can see in my photo. I suspect another adjustment will be made to my meds.

But I promise I will not give up, and I will try my very hardest not to let my mom and dad or any of you down.

Today’s Spark is from Sir Harry Kroto (Harold Walter Krotoschiner), a British chemist, who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1996. He also was the recipient of many other honors and awards. Kroto, who promoted science education and was critical of religious faith, died in 2006 at the age of 76.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie has been taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Unfortunately, during this break, Annie has been the victim of a hacker. This has continued to keep her off-line and caused her much distress. Kitties Blue and I ask for your continued prayers for Annie and her family as they try to reconcile this mess and get their lives back to normal.

Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Awww Mondays

I also am joining the blog hop over at Comedy Plus. Click on the badge below to go there.

Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer
