Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
We kitties had a terribly difficult time creating a poem this week. We had this gorgeous photo, selected by Mom Pam and angel Sammy, as our inspiration. Regardless, our poetic abilities fizzled.
Quiet, Please!
Fireworks are extremely pretty,
Unless you are a sensitive kitty.
The booming loud noises
Never cease to annoy us.
All the people oohing and ahhing
Just causes our frantic ear pawing.
As humans seem to enjoy the show,
Under the bed we all plan to go
And not come out until it’s 2018,
When we can return to our regular routine.

We must apologize to Teddy and angel Sammy for this feeble excuse for a poem. If you go to Two Spoiled Cats, by clicking on the badge below, we know you will find an expertly crafted poem by angel Sam. You will also find links to other poems among the comments.
Thankful Thursday
This section is lots easier today, and wow are we thankful for that. We also are grateful for all the holiday cards we have received from our friends, which we will share in a few days. We received lots of new toys, wrapping paper, tissue and boxes. As with the greeting cards, we will be showing you some of our gifts in a future post. But just to give you a bit of a preview, here’s a photo of Sawyer and Cooper Murphy enjoying Christmas.

Hmmm I thought I commented on this before, alas seems like the Grinch has been up to some tricks. Anyways that was a lovely poem and I do sympathise with you, though alas I need to be out and about before new year… but on the eve I’ll be under the bed or tucked up inside my special sound proof box, a gift from Brian last year.
Toodle pips till next year…. ish

Those are ALL things to be grateful of… I especially liked a mouse I got from Marjorie nine New Zealand, and lots of princess pink tissue paper to chase said mouse through.
Toodle pips and thanks

We thought the poems was excellent and we really dislike fireworks. Drat, we even had fireworks going off on Christmas Eve here. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Very cute photo and I thought that was a good poem. XO
We love your poem. Like you guys, we’re not particularly fond of fireworks.
We LOVED your poem. We might have fireworks here…Mommy can’t remember if she heard any last New Year. And it is nice to see Cooper Murphy and Sawyer enjoying their Christmas!

Cute photo of Sawyer and Cooper Murphy ! Purrs
We think you did a PAWSOME job with your poem. Raz and Allie are not scared of fireworks but we have no idea what Noelle will think of them.
Great photo of CM and Sawyer together!!
The Florida Furkids with tons of smoochies and loads of love to Mau from Allie
I always worry about wildlife and fireworks. I am sure they do not appreciate it at all. Cute picture of the youngsters. Hugs!
I like your poem and if I could have, I would have written one similar because fireworks scare me. XXX
We think it’s a very nice poem! And so true about the loud noises. They’re not liked around here either. We used to have a Maltese named Emmy who loved to sit out on the patio during a big storm and listen to the thunder and watch the lightning. But we all thought she was weird! LOL! Happy almost new year! Midge, Nicky, Inky, Freckles, Charlie, Tippi and Maggie. <3
Oh Kitties I think this is an EXCELLENT poem for that photo – I’m not sure what fireworks are all about as this will be the first new years I’ve spent with my parents but something tells me it will be NOISY! Thanks for pawticipating in Sammy’s photo poetry day…….even if it is a tough challenge sometimes! Can’t wait to see all the loot you got for Christmas…..
Hugs, Teddy
Kitties Blue, we quite enjoyed your poem. You told the story of loud noises with an absolutely truthful flair.
