Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #79
Today we are joining the Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop, as we do each Friday. The hop is hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). They each select two sentences for us to complete on Fridays and post them on their blogs on Thursdays. My completions are in teal italics.
The hop is conducted on Annie’s blog. You can go there and link up by clicking on the badge.
1. The best part of where I live is the home I share with Kitties Blue and Dad Tom.
2. The worst part of where I live is that it is a several-hour drive to the ocean, and then it is the Atlantic. I grew up less than an hour from the Pacific. In college I lived just a few blocks from it.
This is a photo that Dad Tom took on our recent trip to California. It is the Pacific Ocean at Big Sur with Highway 1 and the Bixby Bridge. If you are a follower of the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats, you will have seen this photo.
3. If I had the money and location, I would open a sanctuary for black cats in memory of our two panfurs, angels Thelma and Twinkle. Of course, no homeless cat would be turned away regardless of color or breed.
4. My favourite article of cold weather clothing is a hoodie, preferably one with a cat on the front.
Love that you would open a shelter for black cats (and others) – our little black cat died last year and I’d really love to rehome a black cat when we’re ready.
Christmas at the Blues….very warm and inviting. We remember Bixby Bridge on Teddy’s blog. We didn’t get it either.
Shoko and Kali
Yep. We are sisters. The cats & hoodies…that is me. Although I will trade ocean for Great Lakes…make it, Lake Superior. I am thankful for you. XOXO
We love your house, ‘specially with all the twinkle lights.
Your house is gorgeous! Complete with a kitty on the front walk!!! The Atlantic and Pacific are so very different – I don’t think most people understand that. I love the black cat rescue idea … I didn’t really understand until I fell in love with Ellie Mae. It was so odd – I never really thought about an all black cat … then I met her … and BOOM!
I live in the Great Lake State, so we’ve got lots of freshwater lakes to take advantage of. I’ve dipped my toes into the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, but not yet the Pacific.
Thank you for participating in the fill0ins, great answers. Thelma and Twinkle were beautiful. I knew I recognized that photo from California. Your home is beautiful. Have a nice weekend! XO
Our mommy would help your mom with that sanctuary! 🙂 We live less than an hour from the Pacific ocean – it’s Mommy’s happy place!
Awesome fill-ins this week! You live in a beautiful house and wow! Your holiday decorations are inspiring! Our Mom wishes to open a shelter, too, if she had a million bucks.
Love your answers! Love your house! I used to want one just like it. Now that I have three stories, I want a single level with a basement! HA! I, too, adore black kitties. I have a solid black, Maggie, and her sister, Tippi, a tuxedo. All cats are special! 😀 <3
Your house looks beautiful in all seasons but Christmas makes it look MAGICAL. We really did love that photo Mr. Tom took that we were able to use for Teaser on our blog – what a pawsome view of a beautiful part of the coastal highway in California – it sure made for a FUN Teaser! Have a super Friday………..
Love, Teddy and Mom too
Great answers ! You’re living in a pretty house in a beautiful area ! Purrs
I love all of your fill-in answers, Janet. You have a beautiful house, too! Thanks for sharing your great photos.
I like black cats, too, although the closest I have come to it is a Tuxedo kitty. Some day I would love to have an all black cat. BOO! 🙂
