We’d like to apologize for not posting yesterday. Mom has been “down in the dumps” for several reasons, and she just didn’t want to think or write anything for us yesterday. To make up for that, we have two art pieces today.
We also have the Friendly Fill-Ins, we missed yesterday, after our art presentation.
Caturday Art
Here is art piece number one. It was created using LunaPic, Picasa and piZap.
Do you see a cat in this? Do you think one is hidden somewhere in the kaleidoscope? We won’t keep you in suspense. Here is art piece number two.
This is the art which was used to create the kaleidoscope. So, yes there is a cat in the first piece. Giulietta (in a box) to be exact.
We are submitting the kaleidoscope to Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s blog hop. To find links to other art entries or add some of your own, click on Athena’s badge.
Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #72
We let Mom complete these, as we usually do. Her completions are in teal italics.
1. I would never be friends with someone who is a bigot/racist or someone who is cruel to animals.
2. I will never refuse a hug, piece of pie or opportunity to spend time with my kitties or those of others.
3. I have never been to Asia, but I really would like to travel there, especially to the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Chengdu, China. Dad Tom is fortunate to have visited several years ago.
4. When it comes to friends, I feel blessed to have a few very good ones.
Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) and Ellen (15 and Meowing) are the hosts for the Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop each Friday. Ellen selects the first two sentences to be completed and Annie selects the second two. You can find the the week’s sentences on either of their blogs on Thursdays.
This truly is an excellent way to learn a bit more about your fellow bloggers. To participate and join the blog hop, click on the badge to the left. The hop appears on Annie’s blog.
While here, we’d like to ask you to please send purrs, prayers and POTP too Phoebe, 15 And Meowing’s beautiful spokes cat. She has stage 4 CKD and has not been eating.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
Tomorrow is our blog hop featuring all your precious faces. Participation has fallen off drastically the last few weeks, which makes us very sad. If you have grown bored with the hop, please let us know.
Tomorrow, though one of Kitties Blue will be your host, we will be remembering Zoe from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life. She passed away unexpectedly on September 14. Her dad, Kevin, is a faithful participant in the Sunday Selfies blog hop, featuring adoptable cats from PAWS Connecticut. Even if you don’t join the hop, we hope you will stop in and leave a few kind words for Kevin, Mom Tracey and Sister Gracie.
Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
I love your art, especially the second one. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am completely with you on the first 2. And I hope you get to go visit Asia. And thank you for asking for purrs and prayers for Phoebe, they were appreciated. XO
To me, #1 is a cruelty, either way. I just do not care for negative energy, in any form. I like hugs and pie, too! I hope we someday get to share both, my friend. My vet has been to the Panda Breeding Center in China. She loved it. Good friends are blessings. HUGS.
Wow, that art made petcretary’s head spin!! Wheeeee!
We are not bored at all with the selfies blog hop, it is the one post we look forward to and we try to come by each week.
We, too are purring and pawyering hard for Phoebe…
Nice art ! We hope your mom is feeling better. Purrs
I did not see Giulietta in the first picture, but I did in the second. I loved them both!
Mommy was very sad to read about Meow Meow Mans and Tracy’s Zoe, we were very surprised. We are hoping to participate tomorrow, but Mommy has not yey got any pictures. It has been a hectic week. Mommy is doing better. THey installed a PICC line in her arm and since yesterday she has been able to give herself IV antibiotics at home. This is nice as going to the hospital, waiting, having the IV and then coming home was taking a long time everyday.

We did not Giulietta in that first picture at all. But we guess that means it’s super artsy, right? We’re very sorry Mom Janet has been down in the dumps, and hope she’s feeling some better today. We certainly are not bored with the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, but we did not participate last week because we could barely function after Zoe went to the Bridge so unexpectedly. We promise we will be there tomorrow, and thank you so much for dedicating the hop to baby Zoe.
Honestly, we don’t see a cat in the first work of art, but if you say there is…there is. It’s a cool effect! And don’t apologize for not posting…we’re sorry your mom is feeling down. We hope she’s doing better now. Purrs for her.
Love both the art pieces and your number 1 and 2 answers. TW has been very down in the dumps too. She thinks it’s the fact that’s it’s getting dark early even if it’s still close to 90.
Wow so bright and Beautiful!! I love me some Kaleidoscope!
Both pictures are really great, KittiesBlue. I think it was a sad week❤ Pawkisses for a Happy Caturday😽❤😻
I would never have guessed there was a kitty hiding in there! Lovely colours, but I prefer the second artwork. I hope you are feeling better today.
Beautiful colours!
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
You make a gorgeous kaleidoscope, Giulietta! And your fill-ins are fantastic. I love panda bears, so your #3 sounds like it would be a wonderful trip. We will for sure see you for Sunday Selfies tomorrow! We’ve also been noticing some days with fewer visits to our blog, so perhaps some friends are just off enjoying the last days of summer? Purrs!
Love the artwork and the beautiful colors. Loved the kaleidoscopes as a kid — still do! 😀
Sorry your Mom isn’t feeling purrfect. Hope she’s better by the time she reads this!
Beautiful art. I never would have guessed there was a cat in that kaleidoscope one! Hope you’re out of those dumps, though we all go there from time to time. 🙂
What extraordinarily COOL photo effects on both pictures……My Mom was always fascinated with kaleidoscopes as a little girl…..that first pic is “spot on”! We’re sorry your Mom has been in a funk – hopefully she will find some “happys” to feel better soon. We’ll see you on the selfies tomorrow………..
Love, Teddy
These are beautiful. I love the colors of both of them. Happy Caturday?

I would never have found Giulietta in that first kaleidoscopic pic!
