Sunday Selfies: Week #153
Do you recognize me? I don’t make an appearance very often. I normally don’t call too much attention to myself; though, I have been asking for a bit more attention lately. To find out more about that, please come back on Wordless Wednesday when I will be here again.
Mom was pretty excited a few days ago when she saw Astrid and me touching noses. I didn’t hiss. Astrid didn’t scream. No paws were lifted, and we both walked away with all our furs intact. Mom says that all this hot weather has made us lethargic and uninterested in putting out the effort it takes to have a disagreement. We’ve even been caught sharing the cat tree. Photographic evidence may exist on Dad’s camera. If it does, Astrid or I will share in a future post.
If you are unfamiliar with Astrid’s and my story, you can read this paragraph. I shared my kitty mom with Astrid and her brother who were abandoned as babies. We lived together in a foster home and Mom and Dad adopted us together. Astrid and I were the best of friends and loved each other dearly. Then poof…one day we decided we hated each other. No event prompted this as far as our humans know, and we aren’t talking. Anyhoo, I’m not saying we will be friends again, but we did have a momentary truce.
Now that I have shared my selfie, it is time to share one of your own. All critters and anipals are encouraged and welcome to join. You don’t have to be a pet or domesticated animal. We totally enjoy meeting and greeting new and unusual entrants. The link to add your selfie to the hop is below. You also can find the code there to add the hop to your blog post. If you do this, would you be so kind as to add our badge to your post and/or link back to The Cat on My Head.
Blog the Change for Animals
Yesterday was the day to participate in this event, which encourages bloggers to spread the word about and to inspire others to help animals in need. When Mom remembers, we try to take part. Obviously, she didn’t remember. But Lola and Lexy’s mom, Dawn, from Lola the Rescued Cat, didn’t forget. She wrote a terrific post about PAWS of Connecticut. We definitely think it is worth reading if you haven’t done so. Here’s the link too the post, Pet Animal Welfare Society. Photos of our previous sponsored-cat, Swizzle, and our current sponsored-cat, Charlotte, are included in the post.
Have an easy Sunday everybody. I sure hope it isn’t too hot where you live.
Purrs and paw-pats, Lisbeth (with kisses for my boyfriend Charles)
Lisbeth, You look mahhhvelous! So fetchingly beauteous that I’d better stop meowing or Misty May will have my head. Oh, and by the way, MM, my darling girl, lay off bullying your sisfur. It’s very unladylike! Plus, one day she’ll turn on you! XOXOXO & lots of kissies, Misty May, cause I do still love you!

Lisbeth, that is a most lovely selfie, in fact I would almost swoon, it is so ethereal!
Blog the change kind of happened here, cause yesterday petcretary notified the Chewy peeps that she had a lot of unused food that she was feeding Minko. Pipo can’t have it, case it makes him…um…well, runny, MOL!
So they gave her a refund, but said not to send it back, just donate it. Bingo! Petcretary will give it to our vet who also runs a shelter in a separate building behind his practise…its for Feline Leukemia + kitties whom no one wants to adopt for reasons that are mostly excuses…sigh…anypaws, he will love the donation, and purrhaps petcretary will do some volunteering there in the future when she does not do her currant job anymore. So while we are not really ‘getting a word out’ we are helping a shelter. BTW, petcretary has given them food and toys and other supplies in the past:)
Oh you guys, this gave me leaky eyes….. How kind of your mom and of Chewy.
Lisbeth, you look just adorable. We’d love to see more of you! Thank you so much for the shout out for our post. We’re so glad you enjoyed it. Mommy had such a great time meeting Swizzle and Charolette.

We are late, but we are here. Busy weekend with too much to do in too little time. We have to rush when Bill is home.
Maggie is joining you today. She deserves the attention. It is hard when you have two that are seriously ill…but, I love them just as they are.
Hugs and lots of love, my friend.

We are in love with this selfie, Lisbeth. It’s so purrfect! And we are hoping that your truce with Astrid is a lengthy one. You know, the human here knows a lady who has two kitties, one’s the mom and one is the daughter. They were best friends, until one day they suddenly became worst enemies. They either fight or hide from each other. They aren’t talking either, though, so I guess we’ll never know why. Anyway, purrs to all of you!
It’s so nice to see you sweet Lisbeth, you really are a pretty gal.
Lizbeth, you need to take selfies more often so we see you more. You did great! 🙂
Lisbeth, that is the cutest selfie ever. I am glad you ladies are having a truce. I enjoyed Lola and Lexy’s post about PAWS. XO
Beautiful selfie, Lisbeth! I’m glad you and Astrid have a sort of truce. Hope it continues 🙂
Lisbeth you are such a beauty and we just love your selfie this week.
Thank you for hosting #sundayselfies!
I hope your truce continues!
Lisbeth, you look lovely and we hope you and Astrid will be friends again. We were so happy Socks and Scylla made up before he had to go to the Rainbow Bridge. And Mommy loves the fact that all of us are on friendly terms.
Hi Lisbeth.
We are so glad to see you today. There are a few here who have been hissing and saying ‘get back’ at our house. It seems the summer has had the opposite affect here. Meow
Looking very purrty
Timmy
Hi Lisbeth! Nice of you to snap a selfie for us all this Sunday. I think you and Astrid have found your “place” in the family and as most relationships are, you have ups and downs. I’m glad right now it’s an UP. You did a great job with your selfie too! I hope all of you have a fab Sunday – maybe a little cooler than it has been??????
Love, Teddy
What a cute selfie!
Purrs xx

Happy Sunday… Thanks for hosting the blog hop. The Linky tool acted up on me and didn’t post Bugsy’s photo. Would you please add his pic. Thanks.
Hugs, Bugsy, Knuckles and HH
What a beautiful selfie Lisbeth! Happy Sunday!

So good to see you in your Selfie Lisbeth. I thought I saw myself for a minute, but then I realized that it was you…MOL… We’re glad to hear that you are getting along again with your sister. I think we all have disagreements sometimes with our sisters, also humans have that 😀 Pawkisses for a wonderful Day to all of you 🙂 <3
How lovely to see you, Lisbeth, and with such good news that there is a truce in the air. Who knows what drives pals apart, but the thing is it’s usually over something daft. I hope that you both get along now and find a common cat tree to hang you respective paws around.
Love and purrs
ERin
Lisbeth looks so cute on this picture ! Rosie and Arthur who always slept together and were together, are “divorced” for the moment ! No idea what happened. Probably a disagreement, lol !
Lisbeth, truces are very good, even momentary truces, but I hope yours lasts.
Although Miranda has done our Sunday Selfie she has permitted me to write to and Miss Janet so here goes.
I think you are perfection itself dear lady! May fortune favour your friendship as it renews with your sister.

I love your selfie, Lisbeth, and I’m glad things aren’t as volatile between you and Astrid right now. It’s possible that redirected aggression triggered your animosity – sometimes that happens without the humans being aware. Like, if you see some stray out the window when the humans aren’t around, or something happens when they aren’t home. In any case, I would like to think that maybe you two will make up some day!
You make a great Model Lisbeth,xx Speedy
What a beautiful selfie. It is nice that Astrid and and you are trying to get along again. My angel Brother Max had a best friend next door. One day they got into a horrible fight and Max got so sick from an infection that he wouldn’t eat. It took them six months to talk to one another again.

Great selfie, Lisbeth. Nice to see you showing off your boo-tiful furs. 🙂
Ohh Lisbeth, it’s a lovely selfie!
Obviously you’re a natural with that camera.
Hope you have an easy Sunday.
XOXO
That is a beautiful selfie, Lisbeth! I say you did it exactly right!
We missed Blog the Change for animals too but Dawn, Lola and Lexy did an excellent job.
Purrs,

Wow, Lisbeth. Really? You and Astrid are exploring being on friendly terms again? We think that’s really cool. And we love, love, love your super selfie.
Dawn sure did and amazing job on her post about PAWS. Thank you for sharing about it. We are so thankful for our blogging friends like Dawn, and you! Big hugs!
