I WONDER

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Every Thursday we join our good pals, the Two Spoiled Cats, Angel Sammy and Teddy, for their poetical Thursday. Each week, their mom, Pam, posts a photo to act as our inspiration for the following week. This week’s photo is below followed by my poem.

Sammy writes and transmits a poem from the Rainbow Bridge, and each one is a masterpiece. Even if you don’t want to write a poem and participate, his poems are a must read. By clicking on his badge, you’ll be able to read his poem as well as find links in the comments to other poems.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday inspiration

I Wonder

Some days I feel as if I am on
a bridge to nowhere. Not knowing
my purpose or if I matter.
Does anybody even care that
I am wandering back and forth?
If someone sees me, do they wonder
who I am? Are they curious
about my life’s story? Or are they too
wandering in a dusky mauve haze,
asking themselves the same questions?
If we met at the center of that bridge,
would we find answers? Or would we
pass each other without even a nod.
I wonder.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

I don’t understand this poem. I don’t wonder about anything except why the food bowl is empty. What’s up with that anyway? I’m a growing kitten.

Right now about the only things Sawyer understands are how to use the cat door to the catio and that he gets fed in the living room by himself.

Thankful Thursday

We like to participate each week in Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop. This week we are most grateful that the eye “icks” have left the premises. Everytime I say or even think that, I knock on wood. I did just now after typing that. Kitties Blue are thankful for everyone’s purrs, prayers and POTP during the siege.

So glad those eye icks are gone.

That is quite a pensive poem, but beautiful also. Life can feel that way sometimes…at least the water looks peaceful and there is some kind of serenity about that image, even if the bridge is unattainable in the flood (of life)…someone will throw a lifeline from off of there to rescue wanderers in the sea of nowhere……..

Sawyer, we’re glad you don’t have anything to wonder about except when your next meal is coming. 😉

Sawyer is too darn cute! Nice poem, and that image is incredible, but I keep staring at that bridge from nowhere to nowhere, and wonder…

Hi Taylor. I wish I had a cat door to the catio…I have to wait for Mom to open the sliding door and put a box on top of the catio (as I have figured I can jump up and escape) and I am enjoying Kozmo and Jo Jo being around. I used to only get wet food at breakfast, they get wet food at supper…so while they are here, I – Marvelous am getting to eat wet food twice a day!!!
And I must say, my Mom says your Mom’s poem about the bridge was uplifting and just what she needed to read this morning!

Love that poem. And that’s okay, Sawyer. You don’t need to understand it as long as you get your food! 😉 <3

I wonder about that too……do people really SEE each other and HEAR each other? I know that I can see and hear my food bowl being filled and the water in the sink running…..and I think maybe humans need something beyond those basics. This is a wonderfully deep poem – if we’re all honest, we all do our share of wondering! Thanks for pawticipating in Angel Sammy’s poetry day. You ALWAYS come up with a great interpretation of his prompts!

Love and Hugs and HAPPINESS for the END of the ICKS!
