Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #50
I was feeling lazy and almost decided to skip the fill-ins today, but I didn’t want to let down our hosts, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) and Ellen (15 And Meowing). Annie and Ellen each select two incomplete sentences for us to complete on Fridays. This is a blog hop and an excellent way to learn more about your fellow bloggers. If you haven’t joined in yet, I hope you will consider doing so in the future. To join the hop, click on the badge above.
As they are every week, my completions are in teal italics.
1. The most interesting museum I have been to is: I could never pick just one. Some of my favorites are: Musée D’Orsay (Paris), Uffizi Gallery, (Florence), Cairo Museum, The Hermitage (St. Petersburg, Russia)
2. The most interesting historical place I have been to is The Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.
3. Round-Up time is back! Dr. Neel comes to the house today to give Kitties Blue their annual exams, weigh-ins (Cooper should be happy he’s not included) and vaccinations.
4. I was surprised to have a new member (Cooper Murphy) join the Kitties Blue family only five weeks after Fiona got her wings. I know my angel brought this homeless, ginger clown to us to put a smile back on our faces. I grieve for my beautiful angel everyday, but gladly give Cooper all the love and care he deserves.
Another Sad Good-Bye
We were saddened to just find out today that a dear, sweet woofie pal (and faithful Sunday Selfie hopper), Dory (Dory’s Backyard), passed away on April 9.
Today, the blogosphere is celebrating Dory with Flowers for Dory. Her woofie brofurs (Arty, Jakey and Bilbo) are sharing their memories of her. It is a blog hop, and you can join by clicking on the above badge.
Angel Dory, these flowers from our yard are for you. Rest In Peace, beautiful. You will never be forgotten.
Oh, MY! You *are * well travelled!
Love the pictures of Angel Fiona and the similar pose of Cooper Murphy. He is keeping warm on your laptop, MOL!
Beautiful flowers! Dory would have loved sitting by those!
What pretty flowers! Fanks for participatin in da Flowers for Dory blog hop.
I love your #4. I’d never adopted a new kitty so quickly following a death but that’s exactly how I feel about Mudpie.
Such beautiful flowers. Love to see this.
A beautiful tribute! <3
I am so sorry for the loss of Dory. 🙁
Wow, you’ve been to some really cool places!
I hope that all of the kitties checked out fine and healthy.
Have a blessed weekend!
I could name every museum I have been to, but one in Munich is an absolute fave and one in Nuremberg. Alte Pinokothek is in Munich. The wonders of art in that museum have stayed with me to this minute. As for Nuremberg, the house of famous artist Albrecht Dürer just took our breath away and there are some of his paintings there as well.
The most interesting place is a Roman Colosseum in Trier Germany. I was amazed at that time as I didn’t know the Romans had traveled that far north. One learns.
Flooding rains is back.
I was surprised to see how much better both of my feet feel now that I have an injury to my heel and can’t walk fast every day. Sigh. Getting older is good but can hurt’cha!
Welcome, Cooper, and sorry for the loss of Dory. Have a blessed weekend.
Your flowers for Dory are so so beautiful! Thank you for joining us in the Flowers for Dory hop today
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
Cooper Murphy, Fiona did a good job choosing you for her family. We all think that Shakespeare chose Steinbeck for our family. He’s goofy, too. Mom says it’s good to have those ginger clowns around. Of course Tuxedos are super special, too!
Hugs to all of you……….our special friends!
Stereo purrs……..Hemingway and Steinbeck
Oh, my heart. Fiona. And, Cooper, you & George would have a riot…or cause one, maybe. I believe that when one crosses, they send just the right one to fill the void of pain. Stella was sent by my Maisie, who I miss every day and still cry about. (She is on my Critter page).
We just got through vacs and exams. *whew* But, Maggie goes back on Monday for another check. She is no better.
You have been to many interesting places! Great memories.
Have a great weekend. Big hugs.
Such beautiful flowers. We have been really touched to see how many people are paying tribute to Dory. We’re sure it must mean a lot to her family.
Oh yes, I love the Ufizi!! I imagine St. Petersburg is an amazing city.
How nice to have a house call for the kitties. Fiona is so beautiful. Cooper Murphy really is a little clown. I love the expression on his face.
I’m sorry about Dory. Those flowers are so pretty.
Such beautiful flowers. Dory would love those.

Love your flowers and choice of museums…. I couldn’t pick just one, either, so was happy Purrseidon was the one who had to answer that question.
Those are beautiful flowers for Dory ! We love your answers ! Purrs
What an extremely handsome lad is that Cooper Murphy. PURRS.
Oh my word…Cooper is for sure from Fiona…we are firm believers in pets giving us signs.
My daughter has a ginger (in our header he is Frisco, Mia is her tortie). I had never been around gingers or torties. They are super sweet and friendly felines and have good purrsonalities.
Angel Dory will love the pink flowers and Dory loved kitties so I’m sure she has found a ton of K9 and Feline angels to love
Hugs madi and mom
Gosh, what a world traveler you are (and blessed and lucky to be doing so!). We welcome Cooper M. to your family, such a handsome boy … and love your flowering flowers!
Happy Friday!
Those were good ones and we know Cooper Murphy was guided by your Angel. That was such a sweet tribute to beautiful Angel Dory.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful flowers with our Angel Dory. We know how much she loved your Selfie Sundays!
Love and Hugs,
Jakey, Arty & Bilbo(and Mama and Daddy)
Wow. You’ve been to incredibly wonderful museums (and places!) … I’m jealous. I LOVE that picture of Fiona … she is total purrfection. We’re so glad you and Cooper Murphy have each other … he’s a special boy, and you’re a special woman. Love truly changes everything … even more so when we’re not expecting it.

Thank you for doing the fill-ins, despite being tired. Great answers! I am glad Cooper Murphy joined your family and I am sure Angel Fiona did lead him there. You have been to a lot of amazing places, I would love to go to Bethlehem. Have a great weekend! XO
Wow, you sure have traveled a lot! That’s so neat. The only other countries I’ve been to are the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Mexico. My dream places are Italy and Australia! Anyway, hope the Round-Up goes well today! Sampy is sending love and hugs to his darling Astrid and hopes that her check-up is full of positivity! Sending love and hugs to all of you!
I loved reading your fill ins. I should fill one in myself. I mainly do in comments. xox
Your doctor makes house calls? MOUSES!
Wonderful filling in today……..and I hope the “round-up” goes without a hitch (or a scratch!). That photo of beautiful Angel Fiona is really gorgeous – those eyes…….and Cooper – I think he simply is too photogenic NOT to have a fabulous photo!!!
Happy Friday…….
Love, Pam and the boys
Fantastic answers, as always! Your #2 is perfect, and I would love to go there someday. Oh boy, #3, you’re all going to have such fun today! Right? And your #4 is nothing short of beautiful. Angel Fiona knew exactly what she was doing when she guided Cooper Murphy to you, there’s no doubt about that. Purrs to all of you!
