Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #88
1. I would like to ask God why our pets cannot live as long as we do? Lily Olivia is officially home in the special urn we selected for her. As she was my sidekick and helped me each day on the computer, I probably will make certain I keep her by me each day.
2. My favorite fast food restaurant is Five Guys.
3. If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would be Pink. If I wasn’t going to the BlogPaws Conference, I would be able to see her as she’ll be close to our area while we are in Kansas City. (I’d also like to see Eric Clapton.)
4. My Winter pastime is usually staying in the house, because I have serious circulatory problems. This winter has been particularly brutal with frigid temperatures. It’s a good thing I have lots of kitties to keep me busy.
Friendly Fill-Ins is a weekly blog hop started and hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). If you’d like to participate, you can find the sentences to be completed on their blogs each Thursday. On Fridays, you can post a link to your blog at McGuffy’s Reader. We’ll be back here tomorrow for Caturday Art.
I have cold urticaria, which basically means I am allergic to the cold…Sheesh. Have landed in the ER for serious hives a couple times. UGH.
So we live in a cold climate? I must be nuts. But…I hate what hot does to me even more, MOL!
That is a touching collage and tribute fill-in for your dear Angel Lily Olivia.
Those photos are wonderful, Mom Janet. Bittersweet, for sure, but lovely memories of your sweet angel Lily Olivia. Gentle purrs and hugs.
Loved the fill-ins. Lily O will be missed and from the pictures of you and her we can tell how you loved her so much and the expression on her face says the love was returned in two fold. She will always be a Cougar to us.
Loves,
Shoko and specially Kali Kougar
When I tried Five Guys the first time and I was pretty excited to finally see what all the hype was about these expensive burgers. The shop is cool with lots of signs and posted great reviews about how great five guys are. Love the free peanuts, tasty and fresh.
That’s a lovely collage of you with Lily Olivia. Her spirit will always inspire you.
Love your fill-ins. I know what you mean about Lily Olivia. Nellie’s Urn is on the mantle and I can look at her while I am blogging. I have been to about 5 concerts in the last 30 years. I have seen Eric Clapton (well worth it) and last year I got to U2 – worth EVERY penny of the scalper rate tickets!
Love Barb
Oh…now the mom wants a Five Guys burger! They’re so tasty…so she says. Of course none of us has had one.
We love those photos….the love shines through! Super answers too. Mom and Dad loved going to Five Guys.
The Florida Furkids
This winter has been brutal, but we’ve already made it to the 12th of January…Yay!
Those really are such sweet photos. Hugs from all of us.
Oh, what sweet memories you and your Lily Olivia share. She will always be with you, right along with Fiona. Your answer to #4 sounds like a perfect winter solution to me. I often think it would be nice to work from home, and that’s ultimately a goal of mine. This is not only because I would then be able to spend lots of time with my furbabies, but also because I also have a circulatory issue, and it’s definitely worse in the winter. I bundle up as much as I can, wear the warmest gloves I can find around, and my fingers often still turn white and blue. They always go back to normal, though. Wishing you all a healthy and happy weekend!
Beautiful photos of you and Lily Olivia. I am sure she is still with you always even though you can’t see her. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I have seen Clapton in concert , at least 20 years ago, probably longer. I sure would like to know the answer to that question too, it is so cruel that we have such a short time with our pets. XO
Love those pictures of Lily Olivia! It’s good that she will continue to be with you at the computer. I don’t have circulatory issues, but I am just not built for cold weather, and this winter has been brutal so far. Seeing Pink would be a blast!
Such a lovely montage. I relate to your issues with the cold as I, too, suffer from circulatory issues in the cold weather. I use my kitties as a blanket! LOL! We’ve had a few days of spring temperature and it’s been wonderful (even if it has rained those days) but tonight we start winter temps again. Sigh…
Really like your montage above. Also love Pink. I’ve seen Eric Clapton 3 times in the past. amazing concert. Hope you can see him sooner than alter. he is going deaf and is limiting his concerts.
I’m glad Lily Olivia will continue to keep you company when you’re at the computer. Mom says she feels Sammy at her shoulder watching what she’s doing to this very day so Angels are always there. We are back to winter temps after today so enjoy the last day of “SUMWINTER” !!! Happy Friday.
Hugs, Teddy
My human and I are looking forward to seeing you at BlogPaws!
I’m a big Pink fan too! I’m glad to hear that I’ll see you at this year’s Conference. The Boy is from Florida and he doesn’t believe me that it’s not always this cold here. Usually, if you wait a day or two, the cold will leave. We had the longest string of days below freezing since 1983. BRRRR!
