FLAT CAT SCOUT MAU GOES VISITING

Misty May and I had a terrific birthday yesterday. Her birthday was pretty low key, but mine was a lalapalooza! The Wolverine Patrol at Cat Scouts had a terrific party for me. I had never seen so many scrumptious cakes and terrific presents. As I am the Birthday Master for the Wolverines, this was a real treat for me. I will tell you more about it next week.

For now I want to share my first adventure as a flat Cat Scout. As we reported in our post Furry or Flat Lisbeth Loves Charles, flat Cat Scouts have been traveling and visiting their Scout friends. Some have been doing this for a couple of months now. As mom didn’t make my flat cat until last week, I am just now on my first trip. Mom and Dad personally delivered me to Cat Scout Sammy and his Mom Pam and Dad David. If you read Sammy Kimmell’s blog, onespoiledcat, then you have already heard about our meeting and seen some of the photos. If not, you can see them here in this slideshow.

My humans went to Washington D.C. last weekend to attend a volleyball tournament at The Pentagon on 9/11. (But that’s a story for another day.) Knowing that my Worldwide Wildcats Troop Leader, Sammy, lived just about an hour away from D.C., I asked Mom (who asked Dad) if we could visit Sammy and his humans if they were available. And they were. We all met at this small restaurant with super nommy foods.

Mom Pam and my mom talked about Scouts and cats and themselves. Dad David and my dad seemed to hit it off right away and had a great conversation.

When it was time for my parents to head home, they left me in the care of Sammy’s parents. They were the most excellent hosts. And Mom Pam says that I was the purrfect gentleman. She also was happy that I didn’t snore. Good thing I was the houseguest and not my dad. MOL!

So, I left Sammy’s yesterday on the next leg of my journey. My lips are zipped as to where I will land next.

We have two flat Cat Scouts, Maggie and Felix, visiting Kitties Blue now. They are both Worldwide Wildcats, and Maggie is in the Wolverines Patrol with me. It was so much fun to have them here for Misty May’s and my birthday. I’ll share more about their visit in another post.

Until then, Misty May and I would like to thank everyone for all the birthday greetings and good wishes yesterday.

Purrs and paw-pats, Cat Scout Mau
