Sparks
Cooper Murphy has never had a problem in his life since being rescued from the snow in January 2017 and joining our family. He and all his fursibs are blessed to have a home, all the noms and toys they could want, a catio, a terrific vet and two loving caregivers. And Dad Tom and I are blessed to have them as part of our lives; though, some days they drive us absolutely bonkers.
If you are unfamiliar with Bernie Siegel, he is an American writer and retired pediatric surgeon, who writes on the relationship between the patient and the healing process. He is known for his best-selling book Love, Medicine and Miracles. If you have never read it, I highly recommend it.
Though our host, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader), of the Sparks Blog Hop is taking a much deserved break from blogging and our Sparks post is not part of a hop, we continue to support Annie’s vision when starting the Sparks hop: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
We also are joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus.
No use thinking about stuff that does not include kibble, treats, toys or belly rubs.
I am glad you do not have problems, Cooper Murphy!
When the unfurbros were small, petcretary and her sister took them to the local zoo. Unfurbrotheyounger was being naughty and unruly and in general badly behaved…he was good at that and petcretary was oft vexed. But then they saw a large group of children with caregivers, and the children were all in wheelchairs and in various state of disability. Petcretary stopped in her tracks and she and her sister bot said at the same time…we are glad our boys are healthy enough to be naughty…end of the day’s problems!
Its like that a lot…when you put things in perspective, isn’t it:)
Cooper Murphy, you are lookin’ FABulous! And,yes, you are very lucky to have such a wonderful home! Gives your peeps a good tailwag for me, k?
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We love that spark! Cooper Murphy and all the Kitties Blue are blessed! We are too! Even though Mommy ran out of treats today but thank Cod Daddy got some more on his way home from work. Phew.
Cooper is indeed very blessed and we are blessed to know him!
We like that Spark lots and we all love Cooper Murphy!
That is a very interesting way of looking at life!
That is an excellent spark. I have read most of Bernie Siegel’s work, he is a cat lover too 🙂 XO
I love the quote. So very true. We are all so very blessed but we need to stop and look at the positive not the negative.
Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your peeps. ♥
I’ve added the book to my ‘to read’ list! I’ll admit to falling into a funk yesterday; the weather was cool and grey, even though we are headed towards to longest day of the year. I started thinking about The ‘O’ Cats being outside for another winter, and it got me down, even though they won’t come inside, and The Hubby doesn’t want me to keep trying. So, I clearly wasn’t living in the moment!
Great Sparks post. Mom is very familiar with Bernie Siegel. She’s read all his books and actually saw him in person once.

My ginger buddy Cooper looks VERY passed out in that photo – when we are happy and content, those “good” naps are easy. He makes it looks VERY easy! He indeed was lucky to find his forever on that snowy day – just as all of us who find a home we can “trust” are lucky. We hope all of you have a great week ahead….full of naps (!) and love.
Hugs, Teddy
Luv dis pic of ya Cooper Murphy!
