Caturday Art
All the Kitties Blue have showed off their tummy at one time or another. Usually this occurs on hot summer days. We’ve always called the belly-up pose, “summer position.” Misty May is a pro when it comes to summer position.
Kitties Blue, however, include a cat who regards this as his everyday, go-to position no matter the season.
I think you know to which cat I am referring…that big ginger boy, Cooper Murphy.
I hope you are not tired of seeing this big belly on The Cat on My Head, as Cooper Murphy is not tired of showing it off.
Other than the fact that Cooper is not a cute kitten, I think the art today looks like a Victorian-era postcard. What do you think? To create it, I used Picasa to “posterize” the original photo. Following that I used the Porous filter in Painnt. I then added the rose and yellow flowered border with piZap. The final step was to add the beveled edge with LunaPic.
Here’s the original photo of our favorite exhibitionist.
The arty photo is my submission to the Caturday Art blog hop hosted by Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty. To join the hop or view the art of your fellow bloggers, click on Athena’s badge.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to which of the Kitties Blue will be here as your host tomorrow. No one is rushing forward to snap a selfie. They all are hopeful, however, that lots of you will come by to see who is representing and to add your selfies to the hop.
Great art ! Purrs

Cooper Murphy, we love your fluffy tummy. Mom says we are always showing our tummies to the world, too. We say if you have a fluffy tummy, the world needs to see it. Besides, fluffy tummies make humans smile.

Very nice art. I want to snorgle this tummy. This would make a great puzzle. XO
Belly rubbings are always a good thing! Cooper Murphy, your artwork is divine! 😻
Victorian art or a needlepoint. It’s very attractive. I’ve never laid with my belly up—only my chin.
How could we ever get tired of your sweet belly!?
Have a super weekend…

Wowee, That art sure made the picture ‘pop’!
And maybe Cooper Murphy wanted a lot of snorgles??
Pipo shows his belly a lot to pawppy and he fur sure is begging for belly rubs then.
It’s gotta be an orange thing. Wally flaunts his big belly all the time too. But it makes for cool art!
We love your “vintage” art. Looks amazing and we love the tummy!

Cooper Murphy,
You do indeed have a beautiful belly and you know how to show it off. That is some great art work.

We totally approve of Cooper Murphy’s Beautiful Belly and identify with his desire to show it off (mol).
It has been Caspurr’s favourite pose since kittenhood too.
We love the art too. We wish Our Mummy had such artistic talents.
Hey … if you got it, flaunt it, right Sawyer? We love the effects of this one – really highlights your gorgeous tabbiness!
When I was writing about cats not getting the human virtue of Modesty for my blog post today, Cooper Murphy was topmost in my mind!
