Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
As promised, I am here to report on my health. As it required a visit to the vet, and this week’s prompt letter for Angel Sammy and Teddy’s poetry day is “V,” I have written a poem entitled, Vet Visit.
Vet Visit
Off to the vet I was carted on Tuesday,
Which turned out to be a very bad news day.
I was bit on my butt by neighbor cat…
That low-down, dirty, mean brat.
Being the exceptional Cat Scout I am,
I refused to engage with this hooligan.
I turned the other cheek, so to speak,
And that stupid cat thought I was meek;
So took advantage of my good nature,
Thinking I’m a sissy ‘cause I’m a Cat Scout baker.
My a$$ has been shaved and a shot injected,
Can’t take the chance of getting infected.
When I arrived home from that horrid ordeal,
I had a plan to show bad kitty how it feels.
I went straight to the Hooligan Paddy Wagon;
Even though, my poor, sad butt was draggin’.
I had the engine revved up and ready to go
When I heard Mom yell loudly, “No!”
I think neighbor kitty should be arrested,
So this kitty he can never again mess with.
But, for now, from revenge I’ll be deprived,
As Cooper Murphy is too young to drive!

Yep, I got bit again. I finally let Mom and Dad see it on Tuesday morning. Dr. Neel is on vacation so I saw another doctor. She was really nice, and I was an exemplary patient. Well, of course I was…I am a Cat Scout. I only made two little peeps on the way to the vet and not one while I was there or on the way home.
I refused to allow a photo of my shaved butt here on the blog. Nobody wants to see that! All the furs shaved off my back after the biting incident in January had just grown back, and now I have a naked spot again. Pffft!

Thankful Thursday
You probably don’t think we have anything for which to be thankful this week. But that’s not true. That mean kitty only got one fang in me this time. My beautiful and lovely wife, Allie, and so many friends have been purring and sending me POTP. I truly appreciate that and am blessed to have good friends.

Ciao and meow, Mau
What a bummer, Mau! I hope you heal fast… and the fur on your butt grows back just as quickly!
Oh no Mau! A bite on the butt is dangerous. Your mom handled it brilliantly. Your second bite…this fellow next door needs a good comeuppance. A cat has to be a certain lowly class to even think of butt biting. I know cause I get frustrated at times and the fact I was born on the streets shines through…..sadly, I aim for Kali’s butt. I must admit, the butt biting makes a nice poem.

Ouch! I’m so sorry that mean neighbor kitty sank his teeth into your backside. I hope you heal quickly and don’t run into that meanine again.
Ouch! Butt bites are the very worst. Pain AND humiliation! Hope you heal up beautifully, and I hope the neighbor keeps his fangs away from you from now on!

Poor guy! If we didn’t know better, we’d think Snapoline had been visiting you!
We just heard about the mean cat biting you. We are sending power of the paw and healing purrs, to bad Fenris doesn’t like to teleport, we could send him over to chase that mean cat for you.
We still don’t unnerstand how you’re gettin’ bit by da neighbor cat??? We thought ya’ll were inside only kitties?? Anyways, we’re sendin’ hugs and purrayers.

Dezi and Raena
Just glad you got taken care of, Mau, so you can get better ! Purrs.
Dude – that is a great poem, but dang….again??? you may want to consider staying inside
How brave you are, Mau, and what a good Mom you have!
That’s a really good poem, Mau. We guess it is better to write poetry than to retaliate. We hope you heal up quickly. That bite must be very painful, especially since it is in your sit down area. Hope that mean awful kitty stays away from you. POTP sent to you friend. Andy, Tater, Shelly and Mom Judy

This is terrible! I really hope that you heal well. I just think it is too dangerous outside. I keep hearing about too many injuries. Stay safe! Hugs to all of you, especially Mom.
Poor baby. You have had a trying time.
Dearest Mau,
You are so very brave to share your story about that Hooligan Cat. I must say I did have a little giggle at “turn the other cheek” (sorry!) Having a sense of humor even during a bad time is the mark of a true Cat Scout! I love you so much!!!!

Your WIFE,

Poor Mau 🙁 I think your Mom needs to have a talk with his mom. You should stay inside where it is safe for now. Cute poem, glad you were able to make such a nice poem from your ordeal. I hope you feel better soon. Turn the other cheek-MOL! XO
OMC, Mau! What a rude neighbor you have. We hope you recover quickly from that bite.
So sorry to hear you got bit again. Heal up fast and go arrest that hooligan when you can.
Oh, Mauricio, we are so sorry to hear about your booty bite! We are at least glad that it’s all taken care of and on the mend now, and that you have your Hooligan Paddy Wagon for attaining justice. Oh, and also, we just have to let you know that you’re always one handsome mancat, even with a bald butt. Purrs!
Poor Mauricio – bit on the buns AGAIN by a nasty hooligan. Every neighborhood has one I’m sure – I suppose I’m lucky in that I am attached to a leash when I’m outside and my Mom and Dad are on the lookout for any introoders. Maybe you should patrol the neighborhood in the Hooligan Wagon and lock those guys UP !!!!!!! I hope your rear is 100% healed up soon. Thanks for joining the poetry challenge today – we LOVED the poem TONS!
Hugs, Teddy
Mau, I am really sorry that you have had to go through this two times now. Bless your sweet heart. Maybe a visit to Allie for a month or two would be advantageous. You get to be with your wife and you’ll have war, sun to enjoy and a change of air. She will take good care of you.
OMC……Mau
That is so unfair. You get bit and can’t even send the Bad Kitty to Time Out. 🙁
We are so very happy you are doing well and did not suffer greater indignities.
Rest up and see you soon,
Scout Charles
Hugs and kisses to my beautiful girlfriend Ms Lisbeth
Ouch, indeed:(
We sure hope that you will heal well, and that your lovely shiny furs grow back soon.
That poem was great, even if you had to tell us all about your ordeal…we can hiss that naughty biter kitty fur you, Mau.
Pawyers, purrs and POTP to you!
Oh my Scout Mau! Its Mango and I am so very sorry you are hurting in your Nether Regions! I have had 2 cysts on my Right Cheek and under my Right eye. The Cyst on my Right Cheek is gone now! Mom put Iodine on it and it finally healed. But now My 2nd cyst under my Right Eye Mom Lanced it and once a day Mom checks it and either Expresses it or sticks Iodine on it! Maybe I have to go back to the Vet aka The Stabby Guy! He will poke my face! I can’t say what is worse, getting stabbed in the Nether Regions or the Face? What do you thinks Scout Mauricio Blue??
