REMEMBERING FAITHFUL SELFIE HOPPER, FLYNN

Sunday Selfies: Week #143

Lily's selfie
If you can’t tell, I was not too happy about having to do the selfie this week. I refused to look at the phone when I snapped the first one (photo on the right). I made certain to make my most pouty face in the second photo to show my displeasure. Though I was unhappy about the selfie part of this post, I am grateful that I am the one who gets to dedicate this week’s Sunday Selfies to our good friend, Flynn Avery.(Eric & Flynn’s Adventures)

Flynn was a regular Sunday Selfie hopper, even when he wasn’t in the mood. His health had been failing for a long time, and he was looking rather tired last Sunday. But he had rallied so many times, we were all certain he’d do so again. It broke all our hearts when we found out he didn’t perk up but got his special kitty angel wings.

Angel Sammy and he were almost always right next to each other in the selfies line-up—the two handsome ginger and white man cats together. We know for certain that Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats), Angel Nellie (Nellie on the Edge) and Flynn’s brother Angel Eric (and so many other friends) were waiting for him with open paws and hearts. We suspect Flynn and Eric already have been busy hunting mousies in the vast, lush, green fields.

Fly free, Flynn. We’ll miss you and never forget you. You’ll remain in our hearts always.

So, I have shown you mine, and now it’s time for you to share your selfie with us and all the other hoppers.  All anipals are welcome, so I sure hope you will invite your friends to join us as well. And you can add your selfie anytime through Thursday if you don’t normally post on Sundays.

The link for adding your selfie is below as is the code to add the hop to your blog if you’d like. If you would be so kind as to link back to The Cat on My Head and/or display our badge, I will take the grumpy look off my face. Thanks to all our long-time hoppers and the newbies. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia
