FIONA’S FLOWERY CATURDAY ART

floweryI wanted to create a bright springlike photo for today’s post in celebration of Easter. But just like other weeks, I was unable to decide which creation I like best. Here’s the original photo of big-eyed Fiona with Mauricio in the background. He does not appear in any of the other versions.

floweryHere’s the first incarnation created using a double exposure feature from PhotoFunia. I thought it was lovely but wanted some type of frame.

I began looking for a frame in PiZap. Not finding exactly what I wanted, I started tinkering. I added a sparkle overlay and changed and boosted the colors slightly. I added the frame with Picasa.

Here is that version.

I think I achieved what I set out to do. However, while still in Picasa, I was curious as to how this would look as a pencil sketch. With one click on my track pad, that’s exactly what I had.

I absolutely love how this turned out. I think it looks like a page from a coloring book. I am going to print it, get out my colored pencils and have fun creating yet another look.

We are joining Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. You can see all the submissions or add one of your own by clicking on their badge.

So tomorrow is Easter Sunday, and we know many of you may be busy, but we will be hosting our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. If you can take a few moments away from your planned activities to snap a selfie, we’d like you to join us again or consider joining us for the first time. We had our best turnout to date last week with 59 (including our own) entries. We are so pleased and appreciative to have so many participants and such great support.
